:lol :lol :lol :lol @ Adam LaRoche

He takes a pitch, walks to the dugout because he thinks he struck out, the ump calls it a ball

....and then strikes out on the next pitch

:lol :lol :lol

Yeah... I was laughing my ass off at that one

Anyway... I'm serving notice to the National League: LIDGE IS BACK BIOTCHES!

Glad I skipped watching the Jays game. At least it can't be as bad a bullpen performance as the Rangers have had today. 11-4 lead halfway through the third inning, woo! Ooops now we're losing 16-11 a scant four innings later, dang!

I see the Rangers have 2 errors though, some of those runs are probably unearned.

:lol I don't know why this pic cracked me up so much. It's like your dad listening to some bullshit excuse and you can tell he's not buying.

The screen closest to me I can usually get by with the new MLB.tv mosiac, but the one that's farther away, I need to full screen the game I want to watch and it doesn't look that good =(

So Met Fans, how about that back of the rotation?

Trachsel - 7 IP, 1 R on Sunday
Soler - 7 IP, 1 R on Monday
El Duque - 9 IP CG, 1 R Today

All three combined gave up fewer runs than both Pedro and Glavine separately in their last starts

Mets now up 4.5 on Phils, 8 on Braves
Mets now ahead of the Yanks again, 1.5 games behind Best Record in the Majors ...

HGH POWERS EL DUQUE TO THE COMPLETE GAME WIN!!!! :lol

That thing about that KC trainer seems to be wrong:

http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs301&d=06235&f=Mihlfeld.png

plus:
Mike Sweeney has been all over the KC media, talking to print reporters, calling the radio shows, saying repeatedly and angrily that the trainer named in the affadavit is NOT Chris Mihlfield. He says that Mihlfield would be THE LAST GUY anyone would talk to if they wanted anything illegal.

When Grimsley mentioned a former trainer, Mihlfeld's name quickly surfaced. Mihlfeld helped Grimsley, a former Royal, recover from Tommy John surgery faster than expected, a feat that has now attracted suspicion.

"They've got the wrong name on that deal," Mihlfeld said.

The trainer said both Grimsley and Grimsley's attorney told him he was not in the document. Edward Novak, a Phoenix criminal defense lawyer representing the pitcher, didn't immediately return a voice mail and an e-mail seeking comment.

"He was in baseball 18 years before I got to meet him," Mihlfeld said. "If you think in the last three or four years, that I'm the one getting him to do this, it's just ignorance."

And Raffy looks to be one of the names:

Ex-Yankee Leyritz admits to using amphetamines

While baseball's latest focus in its fight against ridding the sport of performance-enhancing drugs is on human growth hormone, it's another banned drug that a former Yankee fan favorite has confessed to using.

Leyritz is best-known for his three-run homer off Mark Wohlers in Game 4 of the 1996 World Series.
"I can remember my first amphetamine," Jim Leyritz said during an interview Thursday on XM Satellite Radio. "I was out all night drinking with Andy Hawkins and some of the guys on the team. I was a young player."

Leyritz, who broke into the big leagues in 1990 with the Yankees, played 11 seasons in the majors with six different teams.

"I came in. I was hung over, sleeping by my locker. And all of a sudden, [Don] Mattingly came to me and said, 'Hey, you're in the lineup.' And I went, 'What?' He goes, 'Yeah, I just hurt my back.'

"Now I'm walking around, I'm going, 'I don't know how I'm going to do this. There's no way that I can go play this game today.' I ran into my teammate who I knew had some of the 'little helpers,' as they called them.

"He said, 'Take one of these. It should help. It'll take the edge off.'

"So sure enough, I took one. He goes, 'OK, you can take two, but no more than two.' So I popped one more, and I went out and went 3-for-4 with two homers."

I have a feeling by the time this is all over, all the media and fans asking for the game to be cleaned up, and all the names to be named, we'll all wish we had stayed ignorant.

a guy taking a pill to stay up cause he's tired i got no problem with. hell, the yankee radio announcers used to say all the time how they would see yankees and other players popping uppers and downers like candy. it's the HGH and stuff like that that i have a problem with.

The disappointing Kaz Matsui era with the Mets is about to end. The Mets have a deal in place to send Matsui and significant cash to the Rockies for Eli Marrero if they can clear a few hurdles.

According to a person familiar with the details of the trade, the Mets would in effect pay what remains on Kaz Matsui's contract by paying the $477,000 remaining on Marrero's deal and sending the Rockies about $4.6 million.

Approximately $5.1 million remains on Matsui's bloated $8-million 2006 salary. Any trade where over $1 million changes teams must be approved by the commissioner's office.

But first, a couple hurdles need to be cleared. The Rockies want Matsui to waive the clause in his contract disallowing a team from sending him to the minors with the thinking that he needs a few-weeks tuneup. Colorado also would like to him to forego the clauses calling for eight round-trip flights from Tokyo, a car and $25,000 housing and relocation payments. They aren't as concerned with the $125,000 MVP or $50,000 Silver Slugger bonuses.

Kerry Wood and Edwin Encarnacion are on the 15 day DL.

And Danny Almonte didn't get drafted =(

I will be really disappointed if any Yankees turn out to be HGH positive ever.

Giambi am i rite?

Kerry Wood AGAIN? Jesus h(gh) Christ.

Awesome news regarding Matsui, but do we really need ANOTHER outfielder?

The New York Mets announced today that they have acquired catcher/first baseman/outfielder Eli Marrero from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for infielder Kazuo Matsui.

Ah well, that's better than I thought. I'm happy as **** that he's gone, but I'm sure Omar could have gotten better.

Yeah, for Matsui he coulda got like....a bag of balls or something.

Oh my, Christopher Trotman Nixon goes yard off of Padilla in the 1st.

3 runs may be the most we've scored in a single game all season long for Wakefield.

Damn Chacin has some awesome luck, Blue Jays start the game with back to back doubles and a single. 1 - 0.

You guys must crush Bonderman. Injure him, if possible. But at least win the game.

I spoke to soon, back to back K's to Glaus and Overbay and a pop up for Zaun, we only get a run out of it. That ain't enough for Chacin to get the win.

Chacin is pitching well, God and our bullpen can only hope he doesn't suffer his usual 5th or 6th inning meltdown.

I see Chacin chose the 3rd inning to have his meltdown. Oh well only 2 runs in. But Jesus Christ 60 pitches already, poor poor Toronto bullpen will probably have to go 4 or 5 more innings today.

His last HR was almost a year ago.

And he walked Jason Kendall. This is comedy. I implore NBC to replace Last comic Standing, which is not funny, with Randy Johnson Pitching.

Back to back dingers for B-G-O and Lamb (wow, he's on fire). Tied up at 2 after Nieve gave up a 2 run shot to Andrew Jones

I like Lamb at first and Lance in the OF,we lose D but gain O.

That RJ inning was maximum hilarity. Walks all over the place, cursing abound, and a bomb to a guy that gets a hit 3% of the times he comes to the plate.

Oh, and Bernie's noodle arm throw to the plate.

The worst part of this, Towers is going to probably be back up. Unless we want to take a chance and call up McGowan or Purcey even though they are not ready

Well it's ok Downs is in oh wait shit

This is what Downs is good at, it is weird but when he comes in for long releif he is usually lights out but when he is starting or brought in to get one out he usually ****s up.
