I would ask the Yankee fans why Melky Cabrera is batting second, but I'm pretty sure they'd respond with "Joe Torre is a moron."

I was gonna put this in my rant last night, but I realize that this move just eclipses Francona's batting Youkilis 8th by so much that the thread's collective head might explode if the subject was broached.

The Embedded Red Sox, Mike Myers is coming on.

I wonder if Alice is enjoying his tenure as a Yankee right now? He must feel like shit every day of the week.

Because he is a piece of shit.

I would feel bad for the guy... but you know, the $252 million and all.

Also, the Braves are LOL. I predict this is the inning the Yanks put the Braves out of their misery.

Ah, if we can't beat the Braves, we can't beat the Sox and that's what matters in the end.

J-j-j-jaded. :(

I still say the Braves can't make this lead stand up.

Slappy is gonna homer to tie so the New York media can fellate him tomorrow despite shitting on him for weeks.

Villone walks the .120 hitting Thorman. Wow.

Let's see if the Braves can not suck for a whole inning.

The Statue makes a great play to rob Jetes of a single. He's played better defensively in this game than he ever did for the Sox.

:lol :lol :lol

I'm not even watching the game, me and a co-worker was "watching" it on ESPN's Gamecast, and the little flash screen was sitting there for a moment, and Steve goes "what's happening?" The the little ball slowly goes outside of the stadium diagram!!:lol :lol :lol :lol

Ugh......

See, that inning was the Braves' season in a nutshell:

Bases loaded...francoeur hits a rope that's caught by Jeter that would have scored two more....then the Braves bullpen blows it, but would have still been up by one if Francoeur's ball is three feet to either side.

I'm pretty much immune to it at this point.......

I'd also like to add that Yankee fans are pathetic........they don't deserve a great player like ARod.

He should have crossed the plate, flicked off every single person in that stadium, and then walked down the tunnel.

I'm stunned that a closer with a 5+ ERA gave up a homerun.

I told you the Braves couldn't hold the lead.

To be fair most of that was his ERA as a starter.
If we just counted his ERA as a closer it would probably be 10+ :(

braves fans dont even go to the games, you can get playoff tickets on the day of the game. now thats pathetic.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.......it must be rough knowing that a $200 million payroll has netted the Yanks the same number of WS Championships this century as the Braves.

And with all that payroll, beyond Rivera y'all got NOTHING out there in that pen. NOTHING.

Instead of buying up hitters like Damon and HGiambiH in recent offseasons, y'all probably should have thrown another measely $150 million at guys like BJ Ryan and Billy Wagner to shore that thing up because it SUCKS. Right now they're gonna be just like the Braves come WS time - deciding which tee time works best.

I doubt Ryan or Wagner would sign with the Yankees to be set-up men to Rivera.

the yankees have the 3rd best AL bullpen era. dont get mad at the yankees and their fans because the braves have completely fallen apart.
