Also Chacin is going for another rehab start, the season is pretty much over we might as well shut him down now like Halladay in 2004 before he suffers another injury, he has been pretty terrible in his rehab starts.

Oh and if we have to eat Hinskes salary than I'd rather keep him, he is a pretty damn good bench player who can fill in at alot of positions, if only he wasn't overpaid.

I guess this pretty much signals the end of the Trot Nixon era. Hinske is on the books for another season, and Wily Mo isn't going anywhere. Nixon probably won't be re-signed with right field that crowded.

So Hinske/Pena will be the new right field platoon (sorry Gabe)!

Mets are STILL hedging on Shawn Green deal, rumored because

a) They may be able to land Preston Wilson as an upgrade.
b) Want 'Zona to pick up more money next year.
c) Mets hold out hope for Geoff Jenkins
