"Shitty Lilly?"

:lol :lol :lol

This is the second Frankman post in a row I've laughed at. Am I becoming a mets fan?

the horrah...

I don't know what is sadder, the fact that Shields has held us to 1 hit through 4 or the fact that Lilly let in 4 runs with 2 outs in the first. Only 1 thing to do:

SHUT OUT SHUT OUT SHUT OUT SHUT OUT

That should take care of that.

The yankees are being 1 hit again by this scrub!!!

WTF!

Adam Loewen owns you. But atleast Loewen has great stuff and will be a good to great pitcher in the future. The Blue Jays are being 1 hit by James Shields, I mean come on.

God, we ****ing suck. Verlander doesn't have very good control tonight, so we get men on and then go up there hacking. What the ****.

PAPIIIIII

**** YOU CLOWN HAIR ORDONEZ

Holy shit.

Wells was just about due for that.

EAT SHIT FROEMMING

I knew Cora was safe. Way to **** us, ump. He was right on top of the play and still blew it.

All things considered, a good start by the Fat **** tonight. That's two solid outings in a row for Orson.

Come on Detroid. Stop pretending you are terrible.

We have Embryo (thanks Kaat), Giambi, and A-rod up.

DOTEL!

Per WFAN:

Pedro to DL again

NY Mets 71 48
Philadelphia 59 60
Florida 56 64
Atlanta 55 63
Washington 52 67

When you guys ever decide to make a run, then Pedro's injury matters.:D

Ah forget this I can't watch anymore. What the hell happened here, KC 7 - Sox 0. Did someone forget to tell KC they suck?

They mistakenly thought they were playing the RED Sox.

And the guy they roughed up was Contreras. Losses tonight for both of my fantasy starters, Glavine and Contreras. Ouch.

:lol Millar is a monumental failure. He's still hurting us even though he isn't on our team anymore.

Papelbon actually looks like the stud he's supposed to be again. I am pleased.

First and second no outs in the eighth inning down by one run and Torre decides to not bunt. You are a ****ing ASSHOLE Torre. This ain't little league.

This is something that has always pissed me off about Torre to no end. It's like he considers the bunt a plague. WTF! Seriously.

Double play. Nice job Torre you ****ing scrote.
Gak!!! At least we got Posada, Giambeast, and Damon coming up next inning, so we still have a good shot.

Edit: Is that Gamecast right? Is Farnsworth pitching? Oh... ****....

Oh McClung is in, there is hope yet. Come on please make some sort of run. Tommorrow we face Kazmir and I fear that we won't get anything off him.

I guess I am going to have to repress this game from my memory. Oh well, Burnett vs. Kazmir tommorrow, either going to be a pitchers duel or we are going to get our asses kicked.

KC now leading 10 - 0. LOL, for some reason I still think Chicago has a chance.
Doesn't matter how good of a team they are - they've already been demoralized beyond repair.

Man wtf..the Twins have 14 hits against the Indians but only 2 runs. :lol
Thank god these aren't the Twins of last year, or we'd probably have 0 runs. :/
But it looks like they're about to break it open here in the 8th. Which is good.

Cuddyer is clutch.

Jays might be getting rid of Hinske. I guess we want to call up Lind a little bit early. Also Chacin is going for another rehab start, the season is pretty much over we might as well shut him down now like Halladay in 2004 before he suffers another injury, he has been pretty terrible in his rehab starts.

Oh and if we have to eat Hinskes salary than I'd rather keep him, he is a pretty damn good bench player who can fill in at alot of positions, if only he wasn't overpaid.

Rosenthal says a deal is close with Boston. You guys can have him for nothing if you eat the contract. It frees up some money for us to sign some people in the off season.

Anyone want Towers? It is like a fire sale of mediocre players.

Hmmm, not a bad move. Hinske has played well this year, and with him on the Sox, he will no longer have the opportunity to kill our pitchers.

I guess this pretty much signals the end of the Trot Nixon era. Hinske is on the books for another season, and Wily Mo isn't going anywhere. Nixon probably won't be re-signed with right field that crowded.

So Hinske/Pena will be the new right field platoon (sorry Gabe)!

Let the Hinske era begin!

Hinske and Trot are basically the same. Except Hinske can play 3rd or 1st in a pinch.

And it looks like San Fran is finally going to win in the 13th.

There's hope for you yet.

So, after I feel asleep after another lackluster Met game did I miss any GOOD baseball?

Mets are STILL hedging on Shawn Green deal, rumored because

a) They may be able to land Preston Wilson as an upgrade.
b) Want 'Zona to pick up more money next year.
c) Mets hold out hope for Geoff Jenkins

(stats through August 13th)
Player -------------- OPS --- OPS w/RISP
Geoff Jenkins --- .722 ---- .814
Shawn Green ---- .788 ----- .732
Preston Wilson - .714 ----- .763

plus Shawn Green's August numbers are horrible and (unlike Paul Loduca) he hasn't been able to break his rep as a poor 2nd half player. Wilson can be had on the 22nd, and Mets are monitoring Jenkins.

Also, LOL at mlb.scout.com Mets Board starting the doom and gloom. Reality check:
The Mets only lost 4 in a row ONE TIME the entire season!
The Mets only lost 3 in a row NOW TWO times the entire season.

That is a TOTAL of 3 losing streaks if you want to call it that. Each time --you people --have gone nuts

Are the Mets entitled to have slumps???? My GOD!
:lol

Here's an interesting stat:

The twins are 59-0 this year when leading after the 8th inning.
