Forgive me.

Steve Phillips: The Red Sox are closing in on a deal with the Padres with third baseman George Kottaras coming back (for David Wells).

THIRD BASEMAN.

DOES THE GUY EVEN LIKE baseball???

Im pretty sure Kottaras is the Padres top catching prospect. Also I hope the Dodgers dont get dumb and give away Kemp for a month of Wells.

Posada needs to walk and then Kid Wonder can hit a Grand Slam. Biggest fantasy bust since Daunte Culpepper last year!

If the Dodgers get rid of Kemp, I'm gonna be PISSED! That kid along with Ethier is the future.

hes out of it baby! woohoo

Let's not go overboard... A-Rod can get hot though and stay hot, so I'm hoping he does for the rest of the season. Needs to make up for me blowing a #1 pick on him.

LOL, Wells is pulled from his start and Tavarez will pitch instead. Watch the crappy Blue Jays make Tavarez look like a star.

Tavarez vs. Halladay we should win this game as easily as Halladays last start against Rune Elvis.......oh wait we lost that because the Blue Jays offense obviously hate Roy Halladay.

Atleast one of these two pathetic teams will finally win.

Alex Rios sure has been terrible since coming back from injury. Boy did I get burned on that trade or what. :(

He lost a bunch of weight and it seems his timing and power are gone. Damn you Staph infections.

Tavarez starting would be hilarious. Apparently, if Wells gets dealt before the game they will call Lenny Dinardo up and have him make the start.

Wells to make start for the Padres over the weekend. Done Deal?

Sounds good to me -- he could have probably helped us out a bit, but I dont want us blowing our load for no good reason. It's hurt us in the past (can you imagine if we still had Paul Konerko? ugh) and I think it would have in the future. Matt Kemp is going to be a star. :D

In all honesty, I think the Dodgers could call up Greg Miller and he'd be just as effective as Hendrickson. Chuck Tiffany could be solid in the future, but he's been getting roughed up a bit from what I understand.

I seriously dont understand why the Padres would deal their top Catching prospect for a Pitcher considering it's their offense that is holding them back. Ugh! Dont remind me of Paul Konerko... =\...

Coletti said he is looking for another Lefty for the bullpen and possible a Left Handed batter to use off the bench.

Loney has been called up to Los Angeles twice this year and is expected to make a third trip when rosters expand Friday.

Also expected to be promoted are infielder Andy LaRoche, outfielder Matt Kemp, catcher Einar Diaz and probably reliever Giovanni Carrara, who is still designated for assignment. The promotions will be staggered over the next week.

Good stuff -- Loney is hard to figure out though... in his last two minor league seasons, he only has 19 HRs combined and he hit 0 with the Dodgers in his time so far in the bigs. He needs to bulk up if he wants to be a Major League 1st Baseman IMO.

Kemp is hitting .467 over his last 10 games for the 51's. He's slaughtering lefties.

The Sawx are 8-21 since that ****ing bird showed up. :lol

Looks like we are calling Lind up, he has been on a hot streak since he was called up to AAA. Hopefully he does well and Gibbons plays him. I need something to look forward to while watching the last few games of the season.

Yeah, I laughed at that too. I believe the bird was dead long before the 2006 Red Sox though. There was a Globe article about the bird getting picked off by a hawk awhile back.

Too bad the Chi Sox aren't the ones that put the Sox out of their misery this year...

A good "PUT IT ON THE BOAAAAAAAAAAAARD, YESSSSSSSSS!!" or "HEGAWN" photoshop would have worked nicely here.

anyone have any pictures from today or yesterday of giambi's stache? its coming in rather nicely now.

Nobody cares about your fetish for steroid users with facial hair. Take your perverted requests elsewhere, sir!

Someone over at SoSH is saying ESPN was reporting that the deal might be Wells to the Dodgers for LaRoche and another prospect. If there is any merit to that one... WOW.

I think that Wells should go to the padres and then retire immediately after being traded.

So it'd be like:

most of the padres -> josh bard

Nice! Another double play!!

I'm done watching. If Halladay gives up another run, trade him! John Gibbons needs to fight someone. Go team go.
