people, if we wanna reach 20,000 posts we have to double our output.

Once October is here I think the thread will have casuals popping in rooting for their favorites so maybe its not such a long shot.

this thread will be unstickied once the season is over so we have until oct 1 top reach the mark. we will start a new post-season thread afterwards.

Ahh that sucks. I mean we're all everydayers here. I dunno why we would need to start a new baseball thread. I guess to just hype up the post season abit more.

(edit) Holy shit Moses pulls a nice double play. I bet he's gonna need the Ben Gay after this one.

Two LHs with 5.00+ ERAs and the Braves score 1 run......1 ****ing run.

The Braves of old don't let those guys get out of the third. Absolutely pitiful.

Quick, someone post that pic of the Braves fans with paper bags on their heads.

Now he retires Beltre, Snelling and Ichiro with the bases juiced after giving up the go-ahead run. The first 2 on Ks. Kid showed some stones there when I thought he was gonna fall apart :)

wait we scored a run what is that i'm confused

edit: welcome back, offense.

edit 2: Manny Ramirez: Bad at defense. Very, very bad.

Ausmus with an rbi single, honestly I didnt see that coming.

Carlos Silva just threw 6 innings of one-hit baseball. And that hit lead to a double play, it wasn't a 600 foot homerun.

!?!?!?!

Bizarro-world.

He got pulled at 65 pitches. Interesting theory, Gardenhire

edit: Thanks for this, Ron.

Anibal Sanchez has a no-hitter going against the Diamondbacks through seven innings so far for the Marlins.

<--kicks himself for not taking the marlins bet for wins......odds were 55wins in vegas @ the hilton...

**** YOU ESPN WHY DO YOU HAVE ESPNEWS ON HERE WHILE EVERYWHERE ELSE IS WATCHING THE NO-HITTER?

Neshak looked like Silva out there. :/

Game is pretty much lost now. I can't imagine Hunter or White getting anything (else) going. Damn shame for Silva's first decent start since the game at CHW to be blown by the bullpen.

Bring on the Tigers.

If you want to watch the no-hitter:

go to mlb.com and find the marlins top story and click "free look-in"

You can watch for free. 3 outs to go.

How long has it been since the last no hitter again?

Randy Johnson was the last Major League player to throw a no-hitter. He pitched it on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 with the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Atlanta Braves.
