Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but nothing that happens in the NFC matters anymore.

You guys have about as much as a chance in the Superbowl as the Buffalo Bills.

At least we can GET to the superbowl, cause our teams don't have to "try" to go through Brady and the Pats...

We are going to the Superbowl this year. There won't be any extra 51 seconds or Kordell Stewart to bail you out this time.

And we would have beaten them even with Kordell, but Brady distracted him with this...

Belichick also may have been upset because Steelers coach Bill Cowher went onto the field to offer condolences to Patriots safety Rodney Harrison after he badly injured a knee earlier in the game. Harrison is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn left knee ligament.

That was from the story about Belichick going insane when the Steelers trainer offered to help out his injured player, which in itself is insane. But, how does Bill Cowher offering his condolences piss you off?

I knew that motherfucker was as crazy as Tom Brady is evil.

The suposedly weak NFC was 4 points away from winning the superbowl last year. Incase you forgot the Steelers got beat the fuck down by the same team in their own stadium.

Look at the interconference record over the last 6 years and get back to me.

And our team is just as good as the Pats, Ben just choked that game away not unlike McNabb. At least Ben was a rookie though, what is soup boy's excuse? Ben is going to make it to the Superbowl in his 2nd AFC Championship this year, not bad considering it took McNabb like 15 attempts.

And speaking of beatdowns, how many points did the Eagles score at Heinz field last year? Oh that right...

The difference between the elite of the NFC and the elite of the AFC is minimal. Look at the last 6 superbowls, they could have gone either way. (excet for the two blowouts, one for each side)

Buffalo at New Orleans 1:00 p.m. --Buffalo has screwed me two weeks running. The likely result? The Saints take it.
Denver at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m.
Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m.
Houston at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m. --Carson Palmer is sickening. Chad Johnson is about as good as I expected(And anybody who had a fantasy draft with me can vouch for my expectations on Johnson). Rudi's very solid. Oh, and the defense has 10 interceptions in the past two weeks. Good luck, Cousin Dave.
Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. --If Indianapolis doesn't score at least 28 in this game, they are moving towards serious trouble. And, by "serious trouble", I mean "a 7-0 record." How the fuck did this schedule happen?
San Diego at New England 1:00 p.m. --Hey, guys. Guess what. New England is good.
Seattle at Washington 1:00 p.m.
St. Louis at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. --I will not pick with Mike Martz on the road. And Eli played like a real live NFL quarterback this week. The defense is worrying, but it's Mike Martz. Can't pick his teams.
N.Y. Jets at Baltimore 4:05 p.m. --I don't even know what to say. Brooks Bollinger v. Anthony Wright. Seriously, now. I'm not kidding. That's the QB matchup. 85% of NFL fans would think you're naming reserve offensive linemen if you gave them those two names.
Dallas at Oakland 4:15 p.m.
Minnesota at Atlanta 4:15 p.m.
Philadelphia at Kansas City 4:15 p.m. --More than anything because I think it'd be fucking hillarious for Cinci and Tampa Bay to be the last two undefeated teams in the league.
San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 p.m. --This one is tough. I think Arizona is almost a .500 team, and they've got to start winning soon if they want to reach 7 wins and the divisio title. On the other hand, San Fran has been playing better than horribly, and they could take it. Plus, Warner's going to miss this weekend. 49ers at .500 in October--The dream is alive.
Green Bay at Carolina 9:00 p.m. --Green Bay is the worst team in the NFL. The worst. They've got a horrible defense, a bad offensive line, and no receivers worth mention. And Brett Favre is on the wrong side of the "genius/insane" line.

We are only 3 weeks into the season. We still dont know which teams are for real in either conference.

I forgot to add the other team looking good are the Bucs

Bucs do look damn good, but I wonder about Griese. Then again they won a Superbowl with Dilfer at the helm so maybe they can do it with Griese too if they defense is good enough.

Atlanta and Carolina are interesting too, but I have my doubts about them too.

Duce is right that it is way too early though.

some interesting facts going into the cards vs niners game:

* dirt warner is out
* it doesn't matter cause we're probably going to let mccown throw for 350+ on our terrible pass defense
* light at the end of the tunnel? rumph has been moved back to CB because ahmed plummer is out 6 weeks. rumph is the best hitter on our defense but he clearly has played poorly in pass coverage as a safety. i like this move
* niners are mad!
* if there is one thing we can do, it's beat the cardinals. we may not dominate them, infact we may not be able to beat them in regulation, but if there is one team we should be favored against this year it is the cardinals. then again, if our offense doesn't put up 30 points we'll probably lose since i know for a fact we're going to get torched by every team we play this year. THROW EARLY AND OFTEN RAT! but dont throw at all in the 4th Q, thanks buddy!

Buffalo at New Orleans 1:00 p.m. This one's for Katrina victims!!! oh wait, that doesn't work anymore? Hm. Basically I don't respect Buffalo. They may have 3 or 4 phenomenal receivers, and a good RB, but when JP Losman is the one getting it to them, you're looking for trouble.

Denver at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m. Battle of the beaten QBs. Last QB standing wins.

Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m. Blind hope. I'm still a Lions fan.

Houston at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m. This one could get ugly. The combination of new found offense in Cinci, as well as their phenomenal D going against poor David Carr? If Carr walks away from this with at least one leg, I'd consider it a moral victory for the Texans. But moral victories don't count in the standings. Remember the Alamo.

Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. Finally we get to see what that Colts offense looks like. After Dwight Freeney murders Used-to-be-There McNair, Manning will have to score touchdowns, no matter how hard he tries to suck.

San Diego at New England 1:00 p.m. Not a division rival. Coming down from a big win. Riddled with injuries. NE is ripe for the picking, knowing that they can a) get in the playoffs with 10 or 11 wins and b) win when they feel like it.

Actually, now that I think about it, New England.

Seattle at Washington 1:00 p.m. Winning the Craig Kilborn Trophy for quietest crowd in a live television event.

St. Louis at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. Giants have played well this year so far. But not THAT well, and Eli's not Peyton yet.

N.Y. Jets at Baltimore 4:05 p.m. Hm. Newly signed, previously FA QB for the Jets, versus the Ravens "Gods gift to Dick Butkus' Sunday Mornings" Defense? This one could get ugly. Expect the Ravens D to win this despite how hard their offense will try to lose.

Dallas at Oakland 4:15 p.m. They FINALLY pop their cherry.

Minnesota at Atlanta 4:15 p.m. I think the Vikings have something to prove still. And because I'm in the "Guys who Drafted Daunte Culpepper For Their Fantasy Football Team and are Officially Sweating Bullets Club" still, and I need a reason to hope.

Philadelphia at Kansas City 4:15 p.m. AKA the David Akers Memorial game. My sources tell me that Andy Reid is checking with the League to see if it's possible to use a wheelchair on the field, so he has a reason to start Akers still. The new by-laws in Philly dictate that if you want to score points for their team, you have to do it injured. Otherwise you have to go on Teammates with Terrel Owens.

San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 p.m. Thinking about this game makes my head hurt. Don't make me do it.

Green Bay at Carolina 9:00 p.m. Feels like one of those games where all the odds are stacked against Brett Favre, where he takes the game on his shoulders and shows everyone why he can get away with not saying his name phoenetically. So expect Favre to finally join the NFC North's "QBs Who Throw 5 Picks In a Game" Club, along with the other 3 already in it.

Buffalo at New Orleans 1:00 p.m. - Saints = Shortest lived "America's Team" ever

Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m.
Houston at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m.
Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 p.m.
San Diego at New England 1:00 p.m. - This could be a fun one.
Seattle at Washington 1:00 p.m.
St. Louis at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. - Rams on the road? Also, the Giants' offense is rolling, and the D has a lot to prove.
N.Y. Jets at Baltimore 4:05 p.m. - A week ago I never would have made this pick. This week we're fielding a third string QB (kind of like Baltimore *rimshot*). 'Nuff said.
Dallas at Oakland 4:15 p.m. - Oakland is a better team than their record suggests. Cut stupid penalties, and they SHOULD win this game.
Minnesota at Atlanta 4:15 p.m.
Philadelphia at Kansas City 4:15 p.m.
San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 p.m. - Who the hell scheduled this for prime time?
Green Bay at Carolina 9:00 p.m. - Who the hell scheduled this for prime time? 2: The Revenge

Last Week: 9 - 5

Season: 26 - 20

Ok first off, Dilfer didn't win the superbowl as a Buccaneer. He was a raven. Second of all, Dilfer is a better QB than Griese.

You're the only one left buddy!

I exepct Eli to put up another great performance this week against a Rams team geared primarily towards run stopping. The defense just needs to stop sucking choad and I am happy as a pig in shit. If we go 3-1 we will be first in the division after the skins lose this week!

Er meant Brad Johnson. Don't know why I got those two confused. And I thought Dilfer did a decent job, but then why did the Ravens dump him after the Superbowl? Griese does usually stink, but he shows enough promise every once in awhile to tease you into thinking he can get it down. I am not convinced and he needs to go out and prove it consistently.

News: Vinny Testaverde has agreed to terms with the New York Jets, and his signing reportedly will become official if he passes a physical on Tuesday. With their top two quarterbacks -- Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler -- out indefinitely with shoulder injuries, the Jets decided to add the 41-year-old signal caller, who was with the club from 1998-2003.
Analysis: Testaverde is expected to spend at least this week as a backup to Brooks Bollinger, but could step into a starting role once he's had a chance to pick up the team's playbook. In 16 games with the Dallas Cowboys last season, he completed 60 percent of his passes and notched 17 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.

Our schedule overall isn't that bad, but our next three games look brutal at this point.

I kind of hope we get blown out at Indianapolis too. It sounds batshit insane to want to get blown out in a big game, but I think it will put our team in the right frame of mind before going into the payoffs. Everything came too easy for the team last year and I think that made them get soft at the end of the season.

Everything can change though if Baltimore somehow learns how to move the ball during the bye week. Hopefully that doesn't happen (except during their games with Cincy). :D

Well, you probably posted more than I did during the Giants' game, no room for you to talk about envy.

My team lost to a much better team, on the road, in front of a hostile crowd, and I can't look for a silver lining? If you think i sound ridiculous, re-read your statements. Fact of the matter is that you guys give Eli plenty of shit but can't accept when he does well. Guys I understand you missed out on a top notch draft pick, no need to have this passive aggressive mentality.

Let me ask you a question though, why don't you say the same things to FMT and Duce? Or what about Guileless who likes Eli even more than I do? Besides, I only hate Ben because Matlock likes him.

Anyway, power rankings are up:

Personally, I think it's nonsense that the cowboys, panthers, and seahawks are rated so highly, but who am I to judge!

Dude I could care less about how well or bad Eli does. Unless he does something amazing like posts the numbers that Peyton and Daunte did last year or puts up Warner like numbers I really could care less as he is not in our division and the only way we would meet them would be in the Superbowl, which the Giants are at least one more year away from at best.

Besides, didn't I say that Eli had a good game against San Diego? I thought he made some good throws and I agreed with you and other who were saying the Giants should run more with Tiki (which would also open the passing game up a lot more too and make the offense more effective). As long as Eli's success doesn't come at the expense of the Steelers I am all for it, just don't diss Big Ben. He is the NFL Messiah and that is clearly blasphemy.

FMT, any clue as to why San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals are playing in Mexico City this weekend??
Call me a fool but I've read in both the newspaper and NFL.com that they will be making history this weekend when they face off in Mexico City.

NFL in Estadio Azteca

Edit: Nevermind I just found out why with that link above.
