Monday, Oct. 10
Pittsburgh at San Diego, 9:00 p.m.

Open date: Kansas City, Minnesota, N.Y. Giants, Oakland

Wow, that is a fuckload of road teams I'm picking. Definately gonna think about these picks the rest of the week and maybe change some of them.

edit: Changed these picks - BAL to DET, CHI to CLE, DAL to PHI

I actually think the suspension of Rogers will HELP Detroit out. I think they can take Baltimore... it's gonna be one of those 6-3 classics.

Baltimore at Detroit This team is close to completely giving up.
Chicago at Cleveland
Miami at Buffalo
New England at Atlanta
New Orleans at Green Bay
Seattle at St. Louis
Tampa Bay at N.Y. Jets
Tennessee at Houston
Indianapolis at San Francisco
Carolina at Arizona
Philadelphia at Dallas
Washington at Denver
Cincinnati at Jacksonville

Pittsburgh at San Diego

Good damn, this week is almost as bad as last week.

Baltimore at Detroit
Chicago at Cleveland --Wow. Are we sure this game isn't a sunday night matchup?
Miami at Buffalo --This is the last week I pick Buffalo if they lose. I'm quite frankly baffled as to how they can be this bad.
New England at Atlanta
New Orleans at Green Bay --Green Bay has to win eventually. They can't keep losing every game. And they're not winning until December if they don't win this one.
Seattle at St. Louis --To be honest, I think St. Louis wins. I'm just not picking them in any games this season.
Tampa Bay at N.Y. Jets
Tennessee at Houston
Indianapolis at San Francisco
Carolina at Arizona --There is no logical reason for me to pick Arizona. I just think they win this one for some reason. Carolina let a horrible Green Bay team come back to almost win, maybe that's why. Or maybe it's because I still think Arizona can win that division, they just need a couple of wins to do so. That, or the fact that I already picked nine road teams this week makes me look for reasons to pick home teams that will lose.
Philadelphia at Dallas
Washington at Denver
Cincinnati at Jacksonville
Pittsburgh at San Diego

Sunday, Oct. 9
Baltimore
at Detroit, 1:00 p.m. Ed Reed vs Joey H.=Ints for Joey.
Chicago at Cleveland, 1:00 p.m.
Miami at Buffalo, 1:00 p.m. Losman isn't ready, No Spikes=Phins win
New England at Atlanta, 1:00 p.m.-Vick at home + The Falcons pass rush=Brady Pwnd11
New Orleans at Green Bay, 1:00 p.m.
Seattle at St. Louis, 1:00 p.m.
Tampa Bay at N.Y. Jets, 1:00 p.m.
Tennessee at Houston, 1:00 p.m.
Indianapolis at San Francisco, 4:05 p.m. Well I'm 0-1 for week 5 so far but I can't bet against my niners..But if Mannings sets alteast 3 records which I predict..this counts as a win.
Carolina at Arizona, 4:15 p.m.
Philadelphia at Dallas, 4:15 p.m.-T.O. beating up on Big D= Good Times..
Washington at Denver, 4:15 p.m.
Cincinnati at Jacksonville, 8:30 p.m.-Gonna be a great game...but its all ruined because of the sunday night football announce team..But hey, atleast Carson will get a 3 hour blowjob.

Monday, Oct. 10
Pittsburgh at San Diego, 9:00 p.m. *upset special*...if you can call it one...

Washington has a great defense as usual, but how much longer will their good fortune last? Teams aren't going to miss game winning field goals every week.

Falcons need to be the heroes this week.

Steelers got a tough game at San Diego. This will be the week we bounce back. I expect our defense to give its first dominant performance and be one of the only teams in the league to contain LT. I predict he gets 90 yards on 29 carries. Of course if our offensive line plays as shitty as they did against the Pats we won't be beating anyone.

Seriously, I know I complain about seeing the Falcons on TV literally every sinlge week, I know I rip into Michael Vick a good bit, but if he can lead the Falcs past The Patriots and the Anti-christ Tom Brady, forcing them to fall below 500, I'll officially take back everything I've ever said about him, and never complain about seeing them on TV again..

Oh yeah...if Niners win EVERYONE who bet against them has to pick a 49er related avatar for a full week....Whos man enough to accept my challenge.

Where's a good place to shop for NFL tickets? Me and some buddies want to go to the Colts vs. Bengals game. Of course it's sold out, but is ebay a good place to buy?

Quoted for truth.

I expect Bowser, DM, Future, Soulja, and Duce to pick against us, but Archaix your pick truely hurts man.

Between Vick's injuries every week and the fact that the Patriots don't have a tendancy to lose twice in a row, no matter how badly they play....bastards......anyway, where was I?

This is for FrenchMov:

ANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- Coach Mike Nolan is desperate to snap the San Francisco 49ers out of their offensive funk, and he's wondering whether the solution is the $49 million man holding a clipboard on the sideline.

After the 49ers' offense sputtered to another meager performance in a 31-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City, Nolan said he hadn't decided whether veteran Tim Rattay or No. 1 draft pick Alex Smith would be his starting quarterback for Sunday's game against Indianapolis.

``We're still in the evaluation process,'' Nolan said Monday when asked to name a starter. ``I'm going to give myself a little more time on that. ... There's a right way to do things, and I'm always going to do it the right way.''

The injuries are blown out of proportion because it's Vick. Don't worry. I will "will" our way to victory this week if I have too

I hope they don't start Smith this week because we ARE going to get killed, and killed bad. Dwight Freeney is going to broom bang who ever our QB is and I don't want that to be smith...After we lose 56-6 going into the bye week THEN Nolan can name Smith the starter and he'll have 2 weeks to prepare as the starter.

I thought it would be something a little more than a Peyton Manning or Colts avatar.

It would be more fun if we can choose a funny avatar instead. Something like Brady's ass or something that is humiliating.

I mean I had to fucking bear the shame of a Jordan avatar for months after I lost a bet with Loki of all people. Lets raise the stakes for both sides. :D

But our chances of winning this game are little to none...But if we do pull out the upset which would be>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Than the miracle on ice, everyone should be forced to respect the niners.

But hmm...It doens't matter, Manning is my boy having him in my avatar for a week wouldn't bother me. Now Brady on the other hand, I probably would turn viewing Avatars off for a week...*shutters*

Thats the whole point of the bet. If you get something you like or something awesome, like a Ben Roethlisberger avatar, then it isn't much of a bet now is it?

More bullshit on Detroit before my game analyses:
Apparently the shit on Rogers was more known to Millen than people thought. Mariucci wanted a lineman last year in the draft, but Millen knew that Rogers was caught twice last year, while injured, with drugs in his urine, so that's why Millen pulled the trigger on Mike Williams.

Also, after the game, I guess Millen pulled Mariucci into a room and yelled at him for 40 minutes or so. It was heard tha the said that he brought Mariucci aboard to win games, and if he didn't start winning, he'd seek his wins from another coach. The main theme was "I got you all these tools to use, and the only common denominator from when we weren't winning to now with all these tools is YOU. Start winning or look for a new job." so mad props for Millen... turns out he's not that bad of a GM afterall, huh?

Everyones picking Baltimore this week against the Lions, as Ed Reed/Ray Lewis vs Joey Harrington, but lets keep it real here. The Baltimore offense faces just as much of a chore of topping the Lions D. So this could be a real 6-3 burner here. Sales of Tums will go up 10 fold sunday afternoon in both Detroit and Baltimore.

Baltimore at Detroit, 1:00 p.m.
Chicago at Cleveland, 1:00 p.m.
Miami at Buffalo, 1:00 p.m.
New England at Atlanta, 1:00 p.m.
New Orleans at Green Bay, 1:00 p.m. Favre'll win this by himself if he has to.
Seattle at St. Louis, 1:00 p.m. Battle of the Soon-to-be-Fired Mikes.
Tampa Bay at N.Y. Jets, 1:00 p.m. Vinny plays and wins
Tennessee at Houston, 1:00 p.m.
Indianapolis at San Francisco, 4:05 p.m.
Carolina at Arizona, 4:15 p.m.
Philadelphia at Dallas, 4:15 p.m. upset pick
Washington at Denver, 4:15 p.m. Luck doesn't last this long for Gibbs
Cincinnati at Jacksonville, 8:30 p.m. If this was in Cincy I'd take Cincy, but I'll go with the home team
Pittsburgh at San Diego 9:00 p.m. Pittsburgh off of a bye week after a loss will be more motivated than San Diego off of a huge win over the Patriots.

NO WAY! If he loses the bet, we should find a pic of TO scoring one of his 2 TDs, lighting up the 49ers, and make him use that for an avatar this week.

Yeah he is actually.

He was the one who had a hardon for Cooch ever since he got here. When he wasn't available he hired the first guy who interviewed who happened to be Mariucci's OC. He didn't even look at John Fox or Marvin Lewis. He wouldn't even take Parcells phone call.

Yeah he has some offensive talent. Not that hard when you have top ten picks every year. His only homerun on the FA market was Bly. He just lets the Oline and defense rot.

I don't like badmouthing this team. I want to them to win and it stings when there's years like this. If they can't make the playoffs in THIS North division every single person involved needs to be let go.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention, dude, but their defense is fucking solid. They have had awesome late round draft picks for defense, getting James Hall and Teddy Lehman, two solid guys that could start on just about any team in the NFL. He added Francisco Bryant to the defensive secondary while weeding out shit like Chris Cash and Brian/Bracy Walker. They've added one probowl lineman while he was here, and drafted one that has the potential (Backus).

And with the offense that he wanted to run while looking for a free coach, the obvious choice was to get somebody to run a west coast offense. Who better than a product of the Walsh system? Obviously Mornhinweg was a bad call but it was a gamble... if that works then everyone loves Millen. He patched it by getting a better coach-- Mariucci. And nobody up until recently has even bothered to question whether or not he's a good coach.

You can blame all you want on Millen, but there's no way you'll ever convince me that he has done a bad job with this team. Christ, they're one QB away (and maybe not even that... they're Harrington's confidence away) from being an ELITE NFC team. All their problems stem from Harrington's confidence, or lack of it. He throws the ball downfield, it opens up holes on the line, running game gets off the ground, wins start happening. I don't see how anyone in their right mind can blame anyone but Mariucci for what's going on. And even then, Millen has done his job and he's holding coaches responsible for their efforts. This is Mooch's 3rd season with the team. He should be able to turn them around by now.

I just don't think it's fair to judge Millen after the fact for some calls that he made that were considered great calls at the time. Why the fuck would you bother bringing Parcells in here? So he can stick around for 3 years, get them to the conference finals then quit? Plus, we saw how good the team reacted to a disciplinarian in Bobby Ross. He forced the best RB in the history of the game to retire. Parcells wouldn't have fit the mold he was looking for.

It just boggles me how anyone can still blame Millen for the shit going on here. You can blame Bill Ford Sr. and Jr. for not pulling the trigger on a couple acquisitions, sure. But the blame for this shit, this year, is strictly on Mariucci's shoulders. No exceptions.

The defense has been decent this year. And they singlehandedly kept them in it against the Bucs. There's even a couple or players on the D(Holt, Rogers, Bly Bailey). So I guess for the Defense I'll give them a break this year.

Not Dick though. He's just as clueless when it comes to gameplanning as Mariucci. He gets Tampa and Green Bay. But he gets no respect from me for that Bears game putting NO pressure on a fukken rookie.

And about the Ravens game, I'm assuming you've been following this team for awhile. A team struggling? The star player in something of a funk? Playing the Lions at Detroit?

I see EXACTLY what's coming up Sunday and it scares the hell out of me. Hope I'm wrong though.

Hahaha, it could very well be a scoring fest. Just not by either offense. :)

First of all, congratulations to the Panthers on the win last night. Davis and Foster played great. On the other hand, the Packers were WAY too close at the end. This should've been a blowout. Panthers D still needs to suck it up in the 4th.

did Mike Tice resign or something? The ticker on ESPN says "coming up on Sportscenter: Did Mike Tice quit on his players?"
Sean Jensen of The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Vikings coach Mike Tice contemplated quitting in the wake of the team's bumbling 30-10 loss to the Falcons, in which the Vikings were not competitive even after knocking Atlanta quarterback Mike Vick out of the game with a sprained knee.

Three unnamed players told Jensen that Tice told them he was thinking about packing it in, causing one starter to conclude, "I lost all respect for him."

By Monday, however, Tice was recommitted. He met with the team and told them of a lesson he'd learned from his late father, who urged him never to quit.

But the damage might already be done. There's no reason for us to believe that Tice can will this team to de-turdify, and the current talk that offensive coordinator Steve Loney will move back from the booth to the sidelines and that running backs coach Dean Dalton will move up to the booth reeks of misguided desperation and a complete lack of confidence.

It's time, in our view, for owner Zygi Wilf to step in and end this madness. Bring back Bud Grant or Jerry Burns or Les Steckel. Because it appears that the presence of Randy Moss (scroll down for more) helped to conceal flaws not only in the offense, but also in the coaching staff.
