MAN, check this out, the raw numbers right now.

Hil: 10,566
O:10,288

What a barn burner!
It was closer in Iowa, where both + Edwards basically were just separated from eachother with some hunderds of a percentage for quite a while.

Yeah, but the question is why that happened. I believe it's because the first results are from rural areas, and Clinton does well there, while the urban areas take a while to count the votes and these are Obamas stronghold.

If that's true, then yes Obama'll pull ahead.

Exactly. Typically the results come in the latest from urban areas. Every state.

This may be a closer race than predicted, though. I originally thought she'd squeak this out even after the Iowa loss, then the Saturday debates and the reaction to them changed my mind.

I just heard on the radio that apparently 18% of the voters only decided who to pick this very day. Hillary's tears to be tears of joy soon?

According to CNN, the west side of NH is the more liberal portion. They haven't reported yet (according to politico)

Only if there was a unanimous reaction to them. There wasn't. Also, Bill's chuckleheaded attacks were also on the air in the morning. As was the LBJ stuff. There's stuff flying all over the place.

Why does Guiliani do so poorly in NH? NY is a nearby state and Guiliani did do some campaigning in NH.

He's adopted a very stupid strategy... essentially only put half-hearted efforts in Iowa/NH and then jumpstart his campaign to victory with Florida onward. Pretty stupid imo

MSNBC CALLS John McCain

she have over a thousand more votes then obama, i think its safe to say.

C'mon Obama...

Edwards is pretty much done after this. I don't think he's even going to get SC.

Yeah, I don't know what he was thinking. Someone's getting fired...

CNN projects McCain.

Don't think so. I'm pretty sure the most populated areas are counted last because of the number of votes.

Okay. Well, if it's still the same, 2-3% lead to Clinton, at around 30% counted, then Obama might be in trouble.

Ugh.

Not like I really care about the Republican nomination, but if Romney gets Michigan, it's going to be a hell of an interesting race.
