Guilty White Male Mods Gave Me This Tag
Canucks/Oiler fans. The new prospects from each team will be playing a friendly game in a matter of minutes at 6pm PST. Head to Canucks TV for free and live streaming (so I've been told). Let's see some HOCKEY ACTION :D

However, I keep having to buffer... so if somebody have a better stream, please let me know !

EDIT: Oiler fans can see it live in Oiler's official website as well.

Well court is adjourned for the day. Tomorrow is Bettman but probably not Balsillie? Judge apparently looked pretty pissed for awhile there when the NHL dragged out relocation fee justifications. :lol

I think basillie will take the stand just won't be cross-sectioned by the NHL

Pens gave Obama a 44 jersey with a C.

He made fun of Crosby or something.

Crosby said "The President beaked me a bit"

:lol

He made fun of Crosby's height, it was pretty funny :lol

And I don't believe any Heatley trade until TSN reports it.

I'm going to fucking vomit if Marleau is traded for Heatley.

Agreed. WTF is everyone thinking? Give them Thornton at the very least.

I'd rather give Thornton for future prospects though.

Nah we should be safe for now. Not only have all 3 GMs denied the trade, but its also being reported as bogus by tsn http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290650.

It could be everyone just denying it until the NHL offices actually finish all the paperwork and avoiding player tampering, but its looking like its bogus at this point. And thankfully because trading PM to the Kings, an inter-divisional rival, would be stupid. Even with as bad as the Kings are.

Primadona Heatley can stay out thanks. May have the skills, but I'd rather not deal with the rest of him.

So,

Doug MacLean is big hypocrite?

Bob McCown was having fun playing clips of Doug bashing Balsille all Summer

Yeah it was pretty funny especially the interview, I hate them both so it was win-win for me. MacLean came off as a gigantic douche.

oh nevermind balsillie will NOT be on the stand tomorrow whatsoever because both the city of glendale and NHL waived the opportunity

who else found it funny when the NHL was absolutely GRILLING Zimbalist on his numbers for the value of the coyotes, and they're asking him how much he's being paid only for him to tell them that he was paid $60,000 by the NHL for the evaluation

I always get a chuckle when the NHL shoots themself in the face :lol

and this? GOLDEN

Wright replied that any team that relied on making the playoffs and winning the Stanley Cup every year was not using a sound business plan.

“So teams with losing records can make money?” Goldfein said.

“Given the city I live in, I can state that with confidence,” said Wright, who lives in Toronto, home of the Maple Leafs.

I'm surprised you Sharks fans are so adamantly against the trade, Heatley is the best player of the bunch.

Take my Kessel please.
I'm sick of this kid. Great offensive talent, but THAT'S IT. Also a cancer (no pun intended) in the locker room and not even remotely a "team player" from what I've heard. He's just not worth what he wants.

There's a reason Krejci got his contract way before Phil. The Bruins took care of Krejci, because he played with an injury last year and is a team player.

I wouldn't go this far at all. We fucked around with him too much in the off season to the point we reduced his value potentially. He is the same thing as Richard Seymour with the Patriots. Are you concerned about the future or this season? Bruins can't seem to make up their mind on the subject. Kessel is a fantastic player from an offensive perspective.

Sign Jason Allison.

Preds talkin Kessel, not overly opposed but not big on him either. And since Hartnell left, we really miss having a player that would be in Trotz's doghouse 60 games a year.

Basically - no one wins - NHL upped their bid by $5 mil, balsillie by $10 mil - balsillie will pay off copps completely if he has to - NHL was being douchey all day

balsillie was trying to nail bettman for lying under oath and failed

final bids to be submitted Tuesday, Glendale looks at new balsillie offer Wednesday(which was just more money for them) and the judge said final decision might be 2 weeks from now - too much to weigh on a quick decision - creditors and debtors are split on which bid is best

NHL bid still allows them to break lease after next season

they were going back and forth over numbers almost all day - balsillie dropped his deadlines -nothing really interesting besides bettman and kessler going at it

Yeah, the NHL made it very clear that the Coyotes may not have a future past this season, but I think Glendale is looking at it as a year to book a big legal case over the money they think they'll lose from the lease. Balsillie's offer is basically 10% of the lease (50 mil), which probably isn't sitting well with them.

Where the NHL is playing dirty is that they are basically threatening long legal hell for the creditors if they don't take the lowball bid.

These court decisions are taking too long.
It'd be nice if the trial wrapped up like this.

"...and I rest my case"
Judge: "Thank you everyone. There will now be a 5 minute recess period. We will reconvene and I will make my decision."
-5 minutes passes-
Judge: "Thank you everyone for your patience. XXXXXX, you ARE the owner!"

The NHL pisses me off.

It sounds like the NHL is going to win this one ....
I hope not. I think the fact that the NHL isn't guaranteeing the team will be in Phoenix longer than next season may come into play.

I think the Judge is leaning towards Balsille.

Man, during these few days of court sessions, I just had the image of Garry "Buttman" from Bon Cop, Bad Cop in my head. :lol :lol :lol

I love how the NHL decided at the last minute not to question Balsillie or his character on the stand. I think the NHL was scared of Balsillie mentioning Del Baiggio. Mentioning him even once would have throw the NHL's character argument right out the window.
