Recently a bunch of mixtapes have came out in the past few months that could all be some of the best new models of quality hip-hop to come out in the last decade. Hip-Hop is in as good of a state as ever, at least quality ever, with worthy artists popping up all over the country...It really is an amazing time. I don't know how many people hip-hop fans are on neogaf, but I couldn't let these goldmines go to waste. I just had to let everybody know about these mixtapes and artists, especially since a bunch of bullshit has been coming out on the radio these days. Some of these albums are a few months old, but most of them have come out very recently, and have been distributed freely through various sources.
1. Add 2's - Tale of Two's City Vol. 3
2. Donnis - Diary of a Brave
3. Quest - Broken Headphones
4.XV - Everybody's Nobody
5. Wale - Back to the Future (Requires Login, but its quick)
6. J.Cole - The Warm Up
7. Big Sean - UknowbigseanVol.2
8. Curren$y & Whiz Khalifa - How Fly
9. Mick Boogie & Peter, Bjorn, and John - Re-Living Thing
10.The Kickdrums - Smash the System
I would have included some Charles Hamilton stuff too, but he hasn't come with a mixtape in a while. Still some amazing stuff released in the past year.
I'd start with the latest and greatest Add-2 mixtape if you plan on chomping down on these releases.
