so how come when kobe gets 26 FT attempts no one cries RIGGED?

i only saw the last 6 or so minutes and it looked like kobe was driving a lot and also not getting a lot of calls

so wade probably would have gotten 40 FT attempts in this game

Gundy always looked pissed. Adelman will get pissed for the last 1:37.

Adelman better correct this. He will because that was the most embarassing piece of shit I've seen.

WHY THE HELL DO YOU THROW IT TO ALSTON IN THE FREAKIN CORNER WHEN YOU KNOW THEY'RE GONNA TRAP?!

there are no facts to this so it doesn't count

what kind of facts am i supposed to come up with?

do you want me to go through game tape and youtube all the moments where kobe didn't get the call and wade did get the call?

Yao Ming and Battier had a bunch of shit fouls called on them.

its nice to see the refs have resumed their sabatoge of the rockets..the rockets lost their composure but the refs sure didn't help

and kobe gettin phantom calls 26 ft attempts..nice

The question is: Would Wade even play if he had a hurt Wrist?

Dude missed more games (this) season then Baron Davis! How does that happen!

Battier ripped his arm out of it's socket and he came back early...

It was a very dumb joke trying to up Baron Davis, who is definitely going to miss at least a minimum of 25 games this year.

32 shot attempts

27 free throws

Kobe's going to sleep well tonight.

Good ending even though Houston got away with the win. It was nice to see McGrady looking 100% finally.

fixed

It was nice seeing Rafter Alston go to the corner with 12 seconds left and turn the ball over, run to the other end of the court and proceed to let his man knock down a long 2 pt shot w/ 4 seconds left.

It was amazing.

Even though MJ messed up with the 2 FTs, I'll forgive him for that, because Alston's actions should make Adelman bench him for the rest of the season.

Carlos Boozer
32 points
15 rebounds

I might just jump on this bandwagon

I think you'd be a bit late. He had plenty of those games last year, and many were against bigger/better teams than the Warriors. If you look at his gamelog, you'll see that he had many 25/15 + games

We had Mickael Pietrus on Boozer for most of the night... :lol

Yeah, Boozer is nasty. I think being on the Jazz has kept him under the radar just like Deron Williams.

actually it made him a better player....

your posts are clearly just full of wade hate. you can say "wade would've gotten those calls" but that's just something you'd like to think. you can't actually prove it.

and there were bad calls going around all night...just like in any nba game.

Man.. Kobe is just like 2 levels above anyone else playing at anytime. Dude is by far the best player in the game
I thought he stank it up for the first 3 quarters and was believing what Phil said about him not caring or trying, because for parts of the game it did appear like he was not giving 100% (granted 60% of Kobe is sad still a hell of a lot more than anyone else on the Lakers).

At least the Rockets looked like crap too. Somehow that makes me feel better.

my posts are full of wade hate? really? you think?

well, it's kind of weird when a bunch of people come out and say that about wade. i guess a bunch of people (players, coaches, fans of different teams) are all just full of wade hate.

odd that they usually don't mention other players(besides LeBron) when referring to getting bs calls.

and to prove it, just watch a wade game and a different game side by side.

Awesome start by my Jazz, but the Warriors aren't the best measuring stick. Just about everybody had a big night. Boozer, as always, was a beast, Kirilenko was all over the floor, Williams dominated flow, and Brewer looked awesome. Hopefully we stay health this year, almost everything is dependent upon that.

"Nelly ball," as you kids call it, is just dumb. It's a trick team. You get a bunch of pretty good athletes, tell them to run, chuck, flop, and chuck some more. It gets you to around .500 for the season and an occasional playoff appearance. 3-5 years later people catch on that they're not going to go anywhere, Nelson leaves (or gets fired), and then the team has to rebuild.

I will co-sign on this.

I'm so stupid.

I passed on Boozer in the draft cos I thought his kid being sick would affect his game. I also passed on Tony Parker cos his assists suck for a PG (never mind the pts and ridiculously high FG%)

Aaaargh!

OMG the rockets are gonna get destroyed Thursday against the Jazz.

Doubt it, the rockets are still finding themselves but that team is Stacked. Add that to the fact that the Rockets got EMBARRASSED last year. They'll send a message to Utah on Thursday. Rockets by 12.

I like your optimism but this team is a work in progress. Who's going to guard Boozer? Scola doesn't have that type of experience yet. He's going to get abused by him!

Mike James is a better defender than Rafer Alston, but is that enough to guard D-Will?

To be fair, I think Kobe got a lot of annoying calls that pissed me off. I'm glad the Lakers lost because if they won, we would have lost due to Kobe getting all these lousy touch-foul calls. Any Rockets player couldn't lay a single damn finger on him without it being a touch foul.

All Kobe did was bull into the lane and create contact with his body, and the refs call it a foul. That's why the amount of FTs he got almost equaled that of the ENTIRE Rockets team. Yao goes straight up, scola goes straight up, people slap the ball, and they get caught because of a touch.

I personally hate the preferential treatment "superstar" wing players get in the NBA. It pisses me off repeatedly.

And people calling that a rafer foul on the last posession, rafer poked the ball away before Kobe even got full posession of the ball. One of Rafer's only good plays this game.

But I think it's this whole superstar call thing that really pisses me off to no end. They need to get rid of that stupid hand checking rule because it rarely affects shots.

I agree that right now Utah is probably better than Houston, but come March I don't know if that's going to be the case. Houston has a LOT of good pieces and they scare me. If everything comes together well, you're definitely going to see T-Mac get past the first playoff round.

With that said, I hope not. GO JAZZ!

Yesssir... Good opening for my Jazz... I appreciate the effort... why didnt i pick up booz right after i got Deron... fantasy for shame...

QFT. Giving the epic playoff series these two had last year, I expect a great thursday night game.

I'm not going to deny that Kobe also got BS calls. That's a given for any superstar wing player like you said. But Wade seems to get a higher % of BS calls that not even Kobe would get.

Anyways, if the Mavs don't blow out the Cavs tonight (at least 15 points), I will be disapointed.

And I envy the Jazz. They actually have a legit PG and low-post threat.

"It's in my bones, [Portland] is the armpit under Seattle," said Brian Robinson, a Seattle native who, with Steven Pyeatt, founded Save Our Sonics and Storm. "Detlef Schrempf was on the Portland Trail Blazers and I booed and hissed every time, and I love Detlef, he was a Husky and a Sonic. I will never support the Portland Trail Blazers."

Elitist cunt. I hope you lose your team now.

Back home with League Pass up and hacked <3

Luis Scola has been dropped by 4126 teams in Yahoo! leagues

Darn that Jayda - She cut off part of my comment. Let me add the pre-amble

"Whenever I go down to Portland I realize what a wonderful city it is. I always enjoy myself there, but I grew up in Seattle and when I was growing up we had this pre-concieved notion that it was a terrible place.”

Would the NBA ever consider relocating to Vancouver again? It's as viable, if not moreso, then many current NBA cities as far as I'm concerned, especially with the Canadian dollar being as strong as it is, the team would actually make money now.

Chicago sports radio is now saying the deal w/ the lakers in pretty much done now. Involves the kings as part of a 3 way trade and is in the hands of Kobe Bryant to decide with his no trade clause. The one intersting part is that the deal doesn't seem to include Heinrich. We knew Deng was off the table, but most thought Heinrich would have to go too but it doesn't look like this is the case.

No Deng or Heinrich? Who is going? Noah, Gordon and Ty Thomas? Los Angeles won't like that. Though I think Deng is a might overrated at this point. He disappeared during that Pistons series.
