I got my email and I registered the Monday after launch... I was expecting I left it too late.
Here is a mock up pic of the signal glitch i'm getting:
That white line appears in different spots but always right at the top. It flickers really quickly and then goes. This doesn't affect me while i'm playing..it just randomly appears sometimes when pressing the PS button on the pad to bring up the overlay or on black BG's between loads of games.
I've set my display to overscan (to try hide it) but it's still visible so I think that rules out my TV. Now it's a question of whether or not my PS3 is faulty

OK, in amongst all this Casino Royale excitement I picked up my PS3 today from Blockbusters. I see there is a friends listing, what do I need to do to be added, can someone point me in the right direction please?
I picked up Motorstorm and Resistance and also a few Blu Ray discs (but not Casino Royale in case by some miracle I still make the cut). Just finished setting up the account etc and playing around with the menu (never owned a PSP but I generally like the style a lot, seems pretty easy to navigate). Set a few downloads up, and I'm about to pop in Motorstorm and we'll see what happens

Maybe you know someone with a PS3 and if you know his/her PSN username (like people you know on forums, like this one), you can add him/her or he/she can add you by going to [friends] in the XMB, there you can add friends.Slartibartfast said:

)Personally I don't find the XMB friends list useful though, you can start a chat session and send messages, but I rather use the PC for that kind of stuff.
Interesting..they claimed that to be eligible for a free copy of Casino Royale you had to register the first master account on your PS3 but my EU account certainly wasn't the first master account, and I still got a confirmation
Also, the terms of the offer reveal that they're actually giving away 475k copies across all PAL territories, not just 200k which I think was announced before. They also are going to do a quarterly draw to win a Bravia (5 will be given away each quarter).

Anyway, they've obviously ****ed up with this, and I hope they realise that before they start sending packages to 29 Acacia Road, or outside of Europe. They claim to be allocating a hard limit per country so I imagine because most freeloaders would have put in UK as a locale when they pre-registered a PSN account, it means the UK would have hit its limit much sooner than the others.

You'd need to register there to be entered into the PLAYSTATION 3 Prize Draw.
After signing on PSN, registering my PS3 on there is the second thing I did... and yet no email about Casino Royale. But I guess that's because some versions of the movies are supposed to come out later and so the free BDs will follow suit.
Just wondering has anyone upgraded their drives to 120 gigs? From the system information (after the required format) I get something like 97/111 gigs.

CG movies are the only one's that REALLY show off Blu-ray's potential at the monent, Ice-Age 2 and Open Season rock. Disneys The WIld just makes me go all gooey!!

One thing i did yesterday i created a USA account on my PS3 (I'm in the UK) started downloading some demo's and trailers, turned off my system, turned it back on, logged back in on my PAL (UK) account and you know what???? The stuff continued downloading!!!!
Didn't think it would do, but it did which is rather cool!

Me too. I was worried because I pre-registered for PSN, so I decided to open another account to be on the safe side and I didn't know which if any would be told that it had the disc. I was half expecting to not get a disc at all because they'd see two accounts and think I was trying to con them or something
