Oh that's just ****ing fantastic, well done Sony.MadFuzzy said:A friend at work has just got his confirmation mail, and he had a pre-registered account that he activated on his import PS3, so it seems that you definitely didn't need a PAL PS3 to qualify for the offer.

Maybe you know someone with a PS3 and if you know his/her PSN username (like people you know on forums, like this one), you can add him/her or he/she can add you by going to [friends] in the XMB, there you can add friends.Slartibartfast said:OK, in amongst all this Casino Royale excitement I picked up my PS3 today from Blockbusters. I see there is a friends listing, what do I need to do to be added, can someone point me in the right direction please?

its on a website to which the confirmation email links toRaist said:Where does this giveaway thing come from, gofreak ?
Erm no it was always 500k total (inc Australia and wher ever that last 5k goes).gofreak said:Interesting..they claimed that to be eligible for a free copy of Casino Royale you had to register the first master account on your PS3 but my EU account certainly wasn't the first master account, and I still got a confirmation
Also, the terms of the offer reveal that they're actually giving away 475k copies across all PAL territories, not just 200k which I think was announced before. They also are going to do a quarterly draw to win a Bravia (5 will be given away each quarter).
Raist said:Ha nice, didn't see that part about the Bravia. But i'm confused, you need to register again via the website, or is the registration on the PS3 when you first boot it up is enough ?![]()
In addition to signing up for PLAYSTATION Network, you can register your hardware and create an account here to receive email newsletters packed with information on the latest games, movies, accessories and multimedia entertainment for PS3*.
You will be entered into the PLAYSTATION 3 Prize Draw**, which takes place four times a year and gives you the chance to win an HD ready Sony Bravia, and you'll have the opportunity to sign up for other exciting third party offers.

You'd need to register there to be entered into the PLAYSTATION 3 Prize Draw.
After signing on PSN, registering my PS3 on there is the second thing I did... and yet no email about Casino Royale. But I guess that's because some versions of the movies are supposed to come out later and so the free BDs will follow suit.
I have a 120 Toshiba. I had a lot more than 97GB though. It started out around 111GB after formatting. Some of that lost is due to the way companies advertise the size.bigswords said:Just wondering has anyone upgraded their drives to 120 gigs? From the system information (after the required format) I get something like 97/111 gigs.
Where else this site http://www.consolesource.com/blog/?p=33
from the pic shown it's 97/120 (it's firmware 1.02 though).

You mean that even for the Casino Royale deal, you had to register using the PS3 AND directly on their website too. If it's the case, that sucks. I thought registering with the PS3 was enough since they were asking address etc.
