Hahaha, but seriously. I really liked the first game (haters be damned) and look forward to the next-gen sequel - especially now that I can expect more from it than Resistance.
Can't blame Guerilla for being a bit grumpy I guess... any release date in sight yet?

God damnit I can't decide. I'm playing God of War import and MotorStorm almost at the same time. This is gaming heaven. Plus I hadn't time to check GAF which in my book is perfect because from what I hear there were some troll-fests from the usual pathetic fanboys.
Anyway some quick sloppy impressions:
God of War II: OMG OMG OMG THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
MotorStorm: IT'S ****ING AMAZING but you made it too hard you son of bitches which I love and hate at the same time. And btw I keep
using turbo because -well- it's fun and I keep crashing like an idiot. As for multi I haven't setup my PS3 for online yet.

motorstorm is excellent...great graphics and really intense gameplay
Maybe its because I havnt touched a xbox360, outside 5 min with pdz. But I thougth the first three levels of resitance was very good, and since everyone seems too think that the game improves alot towards the end, I think I am up for a threat
How many of you were standing still to recover health for a veeery long time on the first level? I sure was, standing there like a fool, while the rest of my company was getting shoot down :lol
And motorstorm is the sh*t. My god the graphics are good, so cool to actually see the other drivers hundreds and hundreds of metres ahead of you. The drawdistance is the best part of the new generation so far

I agree, Motorstorm - demo :'( - is incredible. The best part is just seeing and being in the middle of ALL those vehicles jumping like gazelles on the track.

GripShift is really cool. Probably one of the coolest PS3 games for me (and incidentally also one of the cheapest).
I need to try and play some Resistance multiplayer, did some watching with the spectator mode and it sure looked fun, now if only I could come to terms with the controls.

As far as console FPS games are concerned, I really enjoyed Call of Duty 2 and how well it controlled (on the X360). I heard that CoD3 is disappointing, although I'm not sure if people are just tired of same ole, same ole, or if it really is a step down from CoD2. Anyone care to elaborate? I might have to pick it up for either X360 or PS3.Musashi Wins!

Fair enough, but to be even more fair I think you should at least rent Resistance. The Demo is nothing to gauge the whole game by unless you just don't like FPS's or something. If you're gonna use the browser you need a keyboard. Dialing in URL's with the controller is an atrociously disgusting process which will only lead to anger.
In other news the PS3 won't recognize my MP3 player. It says "USB connected" but I can't find the damn thing anywhere in the XMB. Might be because its one of those fancy MTP thingies.
But anyhow, can you actually transfer files from a USB storage device to the PS3? Because ripping CD's is a pain in the ass.

I just downloaded Tekken and I get error code of 80029564, saying that I cant install.
Any ideas how I can fix this, or do I just have to phone sony (grrr)?

Welcome to "next generation video game graphics". This is not always the same as throwing hundreds of bump-mapped scanned photos at your PC's graphics card.
Or perhaps you're comparing the above screen shot with your Resistance downloadable pack that isn't due out till May? The way Insomniac's engine manages to get this clean, sexy look is by secretly installing a tiny Re-Rerendering Art Monkey into your PS3 - if you owned one - that manually touches up each rendered image, frame by frame. This little Art Monkey is so fast it can do this consistenly 30 times a second. In fact it's so talented it can keep this up on a multiplayer game even when changes to the game data are happening real time, over 'the Internet.' Insomniac are busy training new Art Monkeys for Tools of Destruction that have already acheived a rate of around 45 Touched Up frames per second, aiming to reach 60 times a second for the finished game! Amazing.
