I'm just reading about Gamestop doing midnight launches for the PS3 over at IGN? Anyone know anything about this?
 
the eb where i preordered isn't doing a midnight launch -- manager cited security concerns, and what with the surrounding hysteria, those concerns might be legitimate. they're not even opening early tomorrow! manager cited his desire to sleep in. :(

LOL no nidmight launch either. The guy at gamestop tomorrow is the same guy who took the preorders. He said he would have come in early if he had gotten his too :/

According to WNBC 2,000 people showed up at the Sony Style Store in NYC. They only had 400 systems. :lol One guy was selling ponchos because its been raining the entire week. He said he was going to buy a PS3 with his poncho money and flip it on ebay. :lol

NBC said the Sony Style store in NYC will be getting another shipment at 7am.

They also interviewed a "game expert" from Yahoo.com (Tom Samiljan). His apartment looked like a shit hole and he was playing with the "interactive" Wii. The dude was waving his hands in the air like a lunatic. I wish I knew how to get this off my DVR so I could youtube it. He was spreading FUD about PS3 BC.
 
Anyone on the East Coast up for Resistance? Now that the system is in the US maybe there will be more than 1 person online on the servers >_<

my psp in usb connection mode (1.5) is able to transfer all audio,picture, and video files from my mem stick pro duo from my cell phone soo happy now with my lil ol 20gb

hell for some reason it copied album art over
 
ah finally finished seting up MOST of my stuff. I need more cables so ill finish tomorrow. Its not the best, but just to compare, heres what I was playing games on 2 months ago

yea it sucks when gamestops shipment gets cut, you get stuck with a 20gb and 3 dudes are like man my ebay sale is hitting 1500, i wanted to beat some ass over that, but its cool my new hd will be here tomorrow so 120gb goodness will proceed
 
so that whole thing DCharlie was talking about how when a game or video starts he gets that snow filled screen....yea mines done that twice, and to top it off RR7 booted and did not output the audio thru my optical cable, it worked after i reset the system, man Sony don`t **** me this time


edit: **** damn thing froze in the web browser while inputing an address while i was listening to music, system is locked but the music is still playing

If they did include it, id have a spare one just sitting around. I think keeping the same plug from last generation is a good trade.

I was going to wait until next holiday to pick up a PS3, but I can't take it. I want one as soon as I can get it. I also need to make sure I don't let my girlfriend know.

setup is looking alot better with my PS3 :D , EB Games in Short Pump, since it was next to the CC doing the midnight launch the DM wanted the stores near by to sell them at midnight
 
Seriously, the scalpers are really fvcking starting to piss me off...and I'm not even getting a PS3 at launch!!!

Someone needs to pull some robin hood shit, rob an asshole that buys 10 systems to put on ebay, sell said systems at regular/discounted price to actual hardcore gamers who will play the systems, and give all the proceeds all to charity.

Speaking of, I'll be back to post in a couple of hours ;).

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to get mine from there, but decided not to do it. I'm getting mine from the EB in Southpark.

Was there a tall (6 foot 3) black dude in there picking up his system? He seemed pretty hardcore when I met him 1 month ago.

nope, the one I got mine from is next to Wal-Mart if that makes a difference, ahh Southpark mall, memories :lol
 
can anyone confirm what the deal is with audio? can you only have it coming out one port (HDMI OR av multi out OR optical)? Pretty lame if so.

you can have 2, my tv is connected threw hdmi and my audio is optical
