So far, here are my issues with the PS3. I'll be honest, some points might be there because I can't find a way to get over it. Here goes:
Music Player:
1- Recognize an iPod. Ok I can play music via the folders but it sincerely sucks.
2- Play music in the background. When I press circle to go back, it stops. I'd like to be able to browse while listening to music.
Browser:
1- Eliminate the virtual keyboard if I type with a KB. It's really annoying to type in a restricted box and unless I am wrong, this box has a character limit. (And with the fact that I have to edit my answer on my PC because I can't type anything else, I know I'm not :lol )
System in General:
1- More language options for the keyboard. I am french Canadian and we use a QWERTY-type layout. Here, I can only choose english or AZERTY french. I don't have this problem with the 360.
2- The ability to boot directly to XMB. Again, I love this feature on 360. I don't want to boot while ejecting all the time.
3- Download in the background. Come on Sony. MS paved the way to a successful interface. This is not copying, it's making life easier.
PS2 Emulation:
1- Enhance the games via software. Make it at least 720p! I want to play FFXII but it looks so bad on my HDTV.
Of course, everything else I very good. The PS store has a nice interface and the games are really great looking but when you have a 360 and notice that the PS3 is lacking those simple but effective features, you kind of cannot wait for the next firmware update.
And PiP is great. Although it's not the best way to play, your girlfriend cannot complain that she cannot watch her stuff while you play. (Of course, the TV and consoles are hooked to different sound outputs.)
