Word Puzzle is 800 points? Word Puzzle? Sorry, that just makes me lol.

Perhaps it is awesome. Will find out on Wed I guess.

Yeah Word Puzzle is a big pass for me. Word search is literally the only type of word game that I don't like.

Shard, you rule! Another XBLA game though, holy shit. The number of games on the service by the end of this gen will be absolutely insane.

Indeed, by the way Axiom has been rumored for a bit of time now, it is nice to see it official though, it is from the developer of Wik: Fable of Souls.

Sick of Guitar Hero 3 and still waiting on Rock Band to be released? You may want to go back and hit up the good ol' Boom Boom Rocket as it has received a signficant title update. The update hasn't been released just yet, so don't go running to your Xbox 360. The latest Bizarre Creations update mentioned that the title update has passed certification and is awaiting a release slot. Ok, so what exactly is in this title update?

* Guitar and dancemat peripheral support (oh yes!)
* Japanese and Korean language support
* Tweaked scoring system to make grade awarded more fair (now purely based on accuracy)
* The huge loud "noise" which popped up occasionally on endurance mode is now gone
* Occurrences of scores getting overwritten with a lower score when playing with 2 profiles signed in is now fixed.
* Display updates when viewing the game through a VGA cable.
* Friends leaderboard now shows extra information such as grade, accuracy, etc.
* Multiplayer endurance mode fix for player colours swapping sporadically.
* Slightly bigger and better explosions (updates to firework rendering)

that's great news for boom boom rocket. it was a pain in the ass to use the controller to play. guitar support should work great.

That Boom Boom Rocket update sounds awesome. The controller made it a huge pain in the ass to play thanks to the dpad failing under faster speeds.

So Word Puzzle is up.. where is Switchball?

Miught be in the genre listing as new releases firstr show up for some reason, or it it will probably be up within the next 1/2 hour.

Switchball = fun. I'm tired and don't want to play it falling asleep but after playing the third demo level (pretty disco ball) I bought it straight away. There's an issue with screen tearing though...

The only time I'll ever mention Word Puzzle is in this sentence.

Review of Word Puzzle

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Actually at least the plague is visually interesting to look at.

The reviewer should go buy a friend.

this game is actually pretty fun in multiplayer. With the game being so simple it allows the pure competitive nature of people to shine through.

I'm not saying this is a great (or even good) game, but that the multiplayer portion of the game is night and day better than the singleplayer

Still not seeing any Switchball here in the UK, only Word Puzzle. how about anyone else?

You can find it under 'all arcade games' because it's not showing up in the 'recently released' at least not in the UK it isn't.

As for Switchball, the game seems cool and all but it's I'm a bit dissapointed about the screen tearing issues. The camera is a bit awkward to use too. Still I'll probably end up getting it.

Yeah the screen tearing was really weird and disorientating. They actually seemed to not show up in the 3rd demo level [the night one]

Will pick it up later tonight.

Was about to come into this topic to ask about the Switchball screen tearing issues but it seems I'm not the only one! I think I'll wait for an update before I purchase as it's pretty distracting...

I've completed the first area now and one level of area 2, and I can say that The tearing issues only seem to be bad in the first two levels!. Talk about a bad way to promote your game :(

I will also say that The races are pretty fun, purely rolling your ball around while trying to knock the other guy off or out. I've only been able to spot 2 other people online, and I played a dude from Italy and the Lag wasn't particularly bad [512 connection in Australia]. It's probably more fun right now since nobody knows how to complete a level. Will be nice to see how well an 8 player game goes :lol

I WILL say that The Coop levels, which are online only and sort of hidden in there, are REALLY awesome. You have to work together in order to push yourselves to the end, it was really fun :lol

Looking at the leaderboards.. it seems that either it only shows the top 100 players, or only 100 people have bought the game. It's really quite nice, being relaxing and frustrating at the same time :lol

I wish split screen was in there, this kind of is a fantastic Coop game. I think it's only got a few Coop levels though, which is dissapointing.

Excellent. I thought it would've been offline only because they only mentioned competitive online multiplayer in their press release.

Unfortunately there only appear to be 4 Coop levels, but I definitely hope they expand on this down the line. They're pretty long levels - the first one took me about 5-6 minutes.

Split screen would have been nice though, would certainly fit in with pick up and play, and would certainly fit in the 'games I could play with my girlfriend' demographic :lol

WTF?! Switchball has crash on me twice now.

Anyone else with the same problem? Playing trial game, First time on the second level given, blip sound came, then just the blue background... Second time on the third level, just passed the balls comung down halfpipe type thing, then garbled screen w/ screeching noise. (I'm scared :( I hope it's the game and not signs of RRoD)

EDIT: Yayyyyyy I'm about to get RRoD me thinks, same garbled screen w/screeching happened with word puzzle.... This and 8-0, what a shitty 24hrs :*(

Found this thread at last!

Last night I decided to check if switchball was up, didn't see it so went to bed. Had a scare this morning because I could not find it again, but phew it was under all game listings instead of latest releases :D

Been looking foward to this, MBU is one of my fave arcade games so far so this should be far from fail.

Switchball still not showing for me in the UK. Did try Exit and Mutant Storm Extreme though, enjoyed both of those.

Also (LTTP) yay at new free Pinball table. :D

[Edit - Ack... sorry! :lol ]

Look under the complete live game listing, not latest releases (I am uk also)

Right now i'm not feeling switchball like I did with marble blast, I will hold off buying it untill I play the trial a bit more. A shame :(

What news of Commanders or War World?

Also Word Puzzle beats out Yaris as worst game on the service.

Switchball is pretty fun, but 30 levels doesn't seem like much and I'm not quite sold on it yet. The graphics and physics are really nice for an arcade game, though.

One of the winners of the Dream-Build-Play contest, Dishwasher: Dead Samurai is appreantly getting close to becomign a real game and as proof up that Ska Studios has a new trailer out for the game.

The guitar thing seems rather superfluous, hopefully it's just some side thing. If people get barred from progressing in an action hack & slash because they're not good at rhythm games, that'd be rather uncool.

Reflexive made Crimsonland too. Tasty!

War World seems to be stuck in the void for now and I think Commanders could come out as soon as next month.
