I bought Pinball FX at launch and I'm still really enjoying it. There was word at one stage that they were working on some licensed tables. Anyone have any news about this?

Indeed, it was better than I expected, surprisingly so. And it isn't plagued by screen tearing, unlike other certain UE3 games.

Also, about the multiplayer: read this if you want to play against others.

They're coming out at the same time as the licensed music for Lumines.
 
I never picked a full XBLA game yet, maybe Prince of Persia classic and one of Qs games later? Right now, my most anticipated one is definitely Omega Five.
 
Pirates Vs. Ninja Dodgeball looks interesting. I may pick it up.
I DL'd the demo for Pinball FX and wasn't impressed by the physics or the tables at all.
What ever happened to Castle Crashers? Is that in mothballs, or will it ever come out?

I'm still on the fence about Catan. I like the game a lot, but I have a feeling nobody would ever be online playing it or would drop if they lose. Anybody play it online who can report?

Thanks for the link. I was actually hoping to contact them and give them compliments about their game.

EDIT: I think we should have an XBLA night once every week. Anyone up for this?
 
OFLC Update:

REZ HD has been classified, hooray!

New unannounced game appears to have popped up, as it's applied for by Microsoft - Brain Challenge by Gameloft.

Classified as in it's rated "G" or whatever. Just means we will actually get it and not get screwed over like TMNT 1989 until recently :)

I haven't played Catan for quite some time (I'm loving free Carcasonne instead), but from everything I've heard, it's still not too hard to find a game online.

I played a ranked match yesterday and it took about a minute to find three more players. Not too bad.
 
Picked up a 3000 point card last week - definitely grabbing Gripshift. Will look at AW, I'm usually not one for that kind of game.

Incidentily, does Gripshift have support for multiplayer offline, ie; Splitscreen, or is it online only?
 
Damn, I only have 800 points, and it will be a while before another free one comes in.

Guess I'll wait for the reviews, they both look awesome.
 
Gripshift looks alright. It looks like Monkey Ball with cars. I might pick it up.. Will be the first XBLA title I've bought in a while.

Online only multiplayer at this stage.

The code base wasn't set up well for splitscreen multiplayer, but its something we could consider adding if there is demand and the game sells well.

XBLA Hits games are taking over the charts - Marble Blast Ultra at #1 (well deserved). Zuma, Small Arms, and Bankshot Billiards 2 all made the top 10 again. This is very good news I think, will hopefully lead to more games dropping in price later on.

Anyone who gets 200/200 in that game is a god. Getting more than ~75 points seems like a total nightmare.

Has there been any news if Metal Slug 1 and 2 will be coming to XBLA? Having only MS3 seems a bit odd. I would love to get the first 2 games in the series as well.

If they ported MS1-3 with combat school and the mini-missions that would be pure heaven. Although I'm guessing this is a pure arcade port.

Ecco is decent but I notice a distinct lack of Streets of Rage 2 on that list.
 
Ecco has some god awful achievements though. Even if they're not your main consern, it's still very stupid of them.

I'd say Sonic 2, TMNT 1989, or Streets of Rage 2. Failing that, there are plenty of 800 Point games which are fantastic. Might be time to get another point card :)
 
Generally, when the achievements go up how long does it take for the game to come out? I'm really hyped for this game.

I think we should petition that MS makes an exception to the rule, and MS3 should have a total of 2000 points to distribute. THEN the achievements would be fair. :lol

Looks like a good week, I may have to buy both games.

Question: Whatever happened to flash games, I thought those were coming to Xbox Live with the fall update?
 
btw, last night I noticed the Canadian Video Marketplace went up, but I couldn't watch previews. Said it couldn't find my HD.

This happen to anyone else?
 
I had the same issue Mojovonio but I just assumed it had something to do with the fact that my 360 is a Japanese unit. I guess thats not the case.

Also Arkadian warriors looks good. Is it going up tomorrow?

Holy crap.

Definitely an instant nominee to the hardest achievements ever list.

I mean...it's not Robotron or SmashTV impossible...but it's pretty damn close.
