Diablohead said:Speaking of, it's real stupid that we have to wait an entire month before another game pack comes out for game room, it's just so wrong especially when it's so new. I bet a lot of people think the current games is all the room is getting or something.
You're correct on that. Limbo was in development so long I thought it was vaporware. But I think it's ready for a summer release. They've been showing it off to the press and handing out passes to the hype train.HadesGigas said:Limbo looks like the kind of game that will be delayed several times before it comes out a year and a half late.
I'm convinced that Joy Ride is being delayed to launch as a downloadable Natal game. One thing is for sure: it won't be called Joy Ride in the UK.FateBreaker said:Summer of Arcade prediction:

EA's Hasbro Family Game Night collection on XBLA will receive three new titles this summer: Pictureka!, Connect 4x4 and Jenga.
It's relatively easy to imagine how the Xbox 360 interpretations will work with Pictureka! and Connect 4x4. Pictureka! is a hide-and-seek visual game, whereas Connect 4x4 is a twist on the classic title, which supports more players and includes a "super squares" mode with power-ups on the board. As for Jenga -- and its real-world repercussion of creating a mess once your block tower topples -- EA might just capture some of that Boom Blox magic in HD. Although, we still posit that playing Jenga on a computer screen is about as suspect as clothed Twister.

whats wrong with the animations? they look much worse than in metal slug 3.
the whole trailer makes the game look like shit (compared to ms3).

Great game but a little draining sometimes.
Still not as good as PSN's 'real world money' feature but I guess it's a start.watership said:Don't know if anyone posted this yet. But it good for XBLA

I can imagine, none of my friends picked it up though. I guess they didn't care about how many polygons per krundle this game has.LocoMrPollock said:Yeah, I got pissed off and put god mode on for singleplayer. Co-op is a lot easier and funner, though.

I forgot about Final Fight, I would say it's a HD enhanced port then a remake or true sequel, it does look great though and reminds me of my limited Mega CD days.Yuji said:Is "Final Fight: Double Impact" a remake or why does it cost 800 MSP? Streets of Rage was 400 MSP only...
The interface is indeed slick, but imo, this is where they messed up. What they really should have done with this package was create a CPS "shell" whereby you could continue to purchase CPS1/2/(3?) games for your "CPS arcade" (a la Game Room) individually.Rlan said:Final Fight is straight up Final Fight and Magic Sword bundled together -- but it's perhaps the best example of an emulation job out there.
You are always "online" with it - a friend can come in and start playing with you at any point in your game and vice versa. The game is filled with additional "challenges" like getting so many points in one level or killing this many guys yourself. This will unlock music, an entire udon comic based on Final Fight, all sorts of good stuff.
The game comes with a fantastic "arcade" filter which makes it look like it's being played on some ratty monitor - it looks great, and makes the game look so much more authentic than without the filter on.
They've set a high standard now, I hope Proper Games get to do more of this stuff for the 90's Capcom games. Even the GGPO online play would be nice for any old Street Fighter games they might port.
Metal Slug 7 was a ridiculously sub-par effort for the series that equally proved SNKP has completely lost track of what made the original trilogy so entertaining, and that modern gamers are incredibly poor at recognizing actual game quality differentiation beyond surface-level similarities.S1kkZ said:what the fuc*?

Instead, we get a non-sensical package that pretty much forces gamers to buy one if they want the other.
And let's be real - This announcement may have made Magic Sword something that gamers suddenly want to champion, but it's pretty much the epitome of that era of arcade machines. Fun for a few stages, then utterly repetitive and dull for 50 more. It's not like they're really giving much of a value-add here beyond charging 10 bucks for Final Fight.
There was a time when Capcom was really leading the charge for the downloadable space. I can't help but think that they've lost their course.
With the effort they put into presentation here, this could have been something to get genuinely excited about. As it is, it just feels totally random. Final Fight is a genre-defining classic. Magic Sword is a mostly-forgotten novelty. Pairing them up is confusing.
If they really wanted to slap another game into this package, they should have at least drawn from their sizable pool of Final Fight-lineage beat-em-ups and pulled out something that would be complimentary. The inclusion of Magic Sword, to me, really makes this entire project feel slapdash.
Just my thoughts.
