There will be an abundance of XBLA games for the next 5 or 6 years (probably even more released than actual Xbox 360 games)...I have to wonder if they will have to put a limit on the # released every month, that is how many are rumored to be in development right now...if you don't have an ethernet cable attached to your Xbox 360 by the end of 2006 and using your Silver account to download $5 games you are basically a moron.
The whole industry is clamoring to get on the XBLA train, both from a corporate perspective (thousands of downloads without middle man = gold rush), and now frustrated games programmers can actually do something which is FUN.
The XBLA managers will give a talk at the Casual Games Conference "Casuality" and I'm sure they will be appearing at other conferences this year. They are actively supporting small devs who just want to do 2D games and indie game developers.
