Jesiatha - I know the Silver Creek guys have finished and submitted their "patch/fix/update" for the Hardwood games. Any idea of when we'll see that hit XBL? Nothing like a nice relaxing game of Hearts now and again, but I haven't even touched the game because of the lock-up issues.

for everybody who loves Geometry Wars:

a sequel is in the works & it features co-op play. i read it in the latest EGM.

Awesome. I was just thinking about how great this would be the other day.

Three games in a week? Cool. Let's hope there's a GRAW or Burnout demo coming shortly too. This could be a good week and a half. :P

Major Nelson seemed to be hinting at a demo in his latest update

I guess we may see a demo before the weekend

Co-op in Geo Wars would be crazy to pull off!.. Think of all the data that has to be transfered between the 2 players, with hundreds of moving objects on screen at once!...

I doubt it would be all that much data. Clever programming can easily make the amount of data small.

You think they could just trust that the game would be kept synchronized at all times, and just send the information about the players' ships?... If it ever became unsynchronized, it would be a mess, right?

Outpost Kaloki X rocks!
Yeah, I just downloaded it last night and it does indeed. It sucks about the bug that stops you getting some gold medals though :( Two of the achievements are impossible as it stands.

How does one get the "less than 5 second" achievement in Zuma? I've tried doing it on the first level and even still, my best is like 20 some seconds.

Zuma pros, any tips?

wasnt streetfighter 2 supposed to be out today ?(26th) or have i missed something.

Doubt it will considering that people reported slow down and other issues at the Capcom event

No release date for Street Fighter has been given, other than "first quarter". The first quarter goes through the end of March, so I'm not sure where any February date came from.

Jesiatha, would you be able to shed any light on the patch issue that prevents Ninja Bee from fixing Outpost Kaloki X? They've said themselves that they can't say anything, but it seems like they're not allowed to provide a fix for the gold medal bug. I would assume it's in the interests of everyone concerned to get the bug fixed, as it makes two achievements impossible.

100% luck. Basically, if the pieces are EXACTLY the way they have to be, you'll have to shoot 2-3 shots that all cause mega chains and finish the stage right away. I haven't seen anyone have this achievement.

Only 1 person in the world has the achievement right now (according to Live). You can find a video of it on the Zuma forum on Xbox.com. I just watched it last night. All it took was 2 shots to clear the board.

He did it on the first level.

There's no way they could just rely on sync.

Looks like Feeding Frenzy and Astropop have become March releases now. Jewel Quest is still down for February though.

One more day left in February. I guess Jewel Quest comes out tomorrow then, aye?

For those of you who formatted their harddrive, losing Hexic HD, it is now downloadable off of XBLA.

If you formatted your hard drive and lost Hexic HD, you should call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX (or whatever the appropriate number is in your country).

Are you sure it's not just the Theme Pack? I don't see it there....
Oops, my fault. I saw Hexic on the list and just assumed they finally put it up. Sorry.

On an unreleased note, why the heck is Joust labelled 'new' :lol

Just out of interest how would they give us the game again since it is not on XBLA?

One thing I wish Hexic HD had was a stats page which told you how much your life time score is and other small things. Other then that it is my most played XBLA game...true underrated gem. :)

You get a download code (http://forums.xbox.com/2021361/ShowPost.aspx).

I'm glad you like the game. A stats page is something we considered, but we didn't have enough time to get it in.

Nice, good to know if the unthinkable ever happens that I can get it back.

When I first saw the game on the internet and played it for the first 5mins I was really not getting it at all...then after 20mins things just started to click before I knew it I had spent over 3 hours playing a game that was something I never really thought much of.

It really goes to show how a simple looking game on the surface is packed full of depth and enjoyment for people that put in time learning to play it. Reminds me of the SF2 games when it comes to the level of depth it allows a player to venture into.

Since then I have spent a lot of time playing it. :D

I don't believe it! I was just trying out my new japanese Xbox Live account (I created it to download the N3 demo), and on my first game with it I got 3,2 million points on GeoWars! Main account am cry... :( I can't get past the 3 million mark on it!

GODDAMNIT WHAT THE FUCK

Playing Fight Night and was kicking ass against some guy, then goddamn telemarketers call and break my fucking connection! Now I've got a fucking loss on a match that I was dominating. Then I play against someone else and my ass kicked in the first round. Anyone know how to strengthen a broadband connection so that shit doesn't happen?

Get a 5.8 GHz cordless phone and throw out your old 2.7 GHz one. See if your wireless setup supports interference robustness or some such signal-strengthening option. Or just unplug the cordless from the wall when you're going to play.

Oh, I just use a standard phone (two actually, since one is in the basement and the connection is in my room.) I'll just disconnect the room phone and see how I'll do. And I think I'm going to start playing max volume Metallica into the reciever the next time these goddamned telemarketers call

SuperPac, you get the poster of the day of award. I never knew this and I have huge issues with this. Just last night my wife decided to talk on the phone for 2 hours and it totally disrupted my LAN. Your post led me to do some googling and this is what I found.

Cause: Cause:
2.4 GHz cordless telephones operate at the same frequencies as 2.4 GHz 802.11b and 802.11g wireless LAN access points, network adapters, and other devices.

Solution:

* Change the location of the Access Point and/or the base of the cordless phone.
* Switch the channel on the Access Point. If that doesn't work, try another channel.

Note: Many 2.4 GHz cordless telephones operate with what is called frequency hopping technology. This technology utilizes the entire frequency range also used by 802.11b and 802.11g wireless devices. Thus changing the channel of the Access Point may not eliminate the interference problem.

* Operate the phone with the antenna lowered, if that is an option.
* If all else fails, use a 900 MHz (or 5.8 ghz as SuperPac suggests) phone instead of a 2.4 GHz phone.

This is a big issue and probably should be posted as a sticky in it's own thread. I'm sure many people have this problem and don't know about the solution.

Is one of them a 2.7 GHz cordless? Doesn't matter if it's in the charging cradle or nowhere near your setup or if you answer it. When it rings, you'll disconnect. Get a fiver and you won't have that problem anymore.

Make sure you fully research the cordless phone before purchase, some of them are not true 5.8 ghz, (IE, receive at 5.8, send at 2.4)
