Whats the 600p package? Multiplayer?

No, multi-player is part of the regular game. According to the OXM review, there was going to be a Puzzle/Mission pack(400 pts) and a VS CPU Pack(300 pts). I'm wondering if that 600 pt add-on might be those 2 combined?

I really don't know. I downloaded it but it didn't seem to add/change anything... maybe it was an empty test package. In the description it says that it adds more challenges and 20 interfaces (?)

Lumines appeared on PartnerNet (1200), along with a downloadable contents package (600). Maybe this is indication it's coming next week...

*transfers necessary funds to proper account for full and unstoppable Lumines hotness*

Oh, also, is it the only unreleased Arcade game on there?

(Should I start a PartnerNet Watch thread? I'm always curious what's on there...)

Yay Lumines! If it comes out next week I will be sooooo happy!

But just prepare for the worst. Remember the week all we got was a Cloning Clyde picture pack?

I'm just saying, next week might be the "Live Vision Camera Upgrade" for Texas Hold 'Em.

I like old classics… Like I never played Dig Dug before but I found it really entertaining.
It was well worth the 400 points.

But I do wish there were classic games from 3DRealms/Apogee... Like Raptor, Duke Nukem...

MEGA LO MANIA

i'm heavily debating spending 10 bucks on doom, a game i have a superior, 3d mouselook controlled version of on my pc. steer me in the right direction, gaf!

I'd hit it. The Live multiplayer alone makes the package worth it. :D

i guess that's the thing. don't have live, don't really care about online games. but that demo just clicks with me. wireless controller ftw. maybe i should go ahead and drop money on this.

edit: bought it. peer pressure!

I found this morning that tehy publishe UMK3, too. So, now we don't know which of the two will arrive next week.

(Should I start a PartnerNet Watch thread? I'm always curious what's on there...)
It would be very interesting/useful, but I don't think MS would be happy about it... you know, it's all NDA material.

Not to be negative, but don't expect anything on Wednesday until they actually announce it. I'd say its been about 6 Wednesdays in a row where people went "LUMINES YET?...awww"

they need to put Return Fire on LIVE Arcade...

Lumines will be fun... but it better not be incomplete like they had reported a little while back..

I checked out Digital Life today

They had playable (as far as unreleased games go):
Lumines Live
Contra
UMK3
Small Arms
Heavy Weapon
Some crappy game whose name escapes me (Its like twisted metal but youre on hoverboards. I think it was cel-shaded)
Robotblitz (PC)
Assault Heroes

Maybe more, but those are the ones I checked out

All seemed pretty cool except for the hoverboard game, which me and my friend did not enjoy at all.

The game was called Street Trace and as you said, I found it to be crappy.

Assault Heroes, Mutant Storm Empire and Heavy Weapon look amazing.
There's tons of videos on YouTube, if you search for Digital Life.

can anyone inform me on what exactly parternet is??/

It's a "private" version of Xbox Live where stuff is uploaded and tested by the media and such. It's XBL for debug units, with some unfinished content to boot.

Holy God, Mutant Storm Empire looks phenomenal. I'll be playing Reloaded again VERY soon.

:D

OMFG! Mutant Storm Empire looks amazing! The shader effects on the metal look incredible, and the gameplay looks great. This is what happens when you make a viable platform for games like this - the evolution of 80/90s classic gameplay is just beginning :-)

Also, Assault Heroes reminds me of Commando, Cannon Fodder, etc. It's like after 10+ years of wishing these types of games would come back for a new generation, my prayers have finally been answered.

Wow, Mutant Storm Empire looks GREAT. Don't care too much about the other games, maybe Assault Heroes too but I need to see a bit more about that one first. MSE is mine though. :D

Mutant Storm looks great. It seems to be more like Smash TV then the original which is a good thing. Assault Heroes also looks really good. Kind of like a Next Gen Ikari Warriors.

QFT

that just sealed it as a must-buy for me.

It is really great to play. The seamless transition between levels rocks, and there's a lot of really cool variety, even in the most likely early levels I played. That roller level, for example, is a totally different kind of game play (at least from what I've made it through in MSR, which is about halfway through) and bodes very well for the rest of the game.

Small Arms and Mutant Storm Empire look really promising. I may have to pick up both.

It's AMAZING how ****ing bad people are at fighting games. I'll be in the top 10 UMK3 players, at least, guaranteed. 2 on 2 Kombat better be online ;_____;

And as a fan of Mutant Storm, Empire makes me wet.

Nice stuff! Assault Heroes peaks my interest the most I think.

I got to play this a while ago when they first revealed it. Aside from being far too easy, it was pretty fun. I'm hoping that they really ramp it up.

Now why can't EA get involved here? How hard would it be for them to port Road Rash and build net play in to it? 16 player races and elimination tournaments would be awesome.
I guess there must be a big demand for selling cheats online instead:/

Man I'm going to be so broke, all of those videos looked pretty great.
I'm really excited about Mutant Storm Empires, I bought the original Mutant Storm because I found it offered more gameplay than GeoWars and Empires seems to expand even further.

Spot on. I was at the meeting. The guy was looking at two print outs laid out on the table. "Net Enabled Road Rash" was on one and "Sell Tiger Woods Cheats" was on the other. I totally sat there like "Come on, man, PICK BOTH PICK BOTH. You know you can." The dude just points to the Tiger Woods one and is like "That one." and the guy next to him SETS FIRE to the Road Rash sheet.

Swear to God.
