BS? It's Sega's game. The timeline on it is up to them or whomever they contracted the port out to, if they went that route.

My point was that MS announced it themselves at E3. Peter Moore talked about his 'old friends at Sega'. Sega have never said a word about it. So it must mean a lot to MS, perhaps they were even funding it, so they must know something about the game's progress or cancellation.

I'm sure someone inside the XBLA team does, and that person deals with relationships with outside publishers and developers and therefore that person is not in a position to speak about the title.

Why the vehemence to find out and make MS responsible for the details based on assumptions?

Also read up a few posts.

I'm just feeling impatient. It's not just Sonic, I'd like to see some true Sega support on XBLA. If any company has a killer-catalogue for Live Arcade, it's Sega.

Badger Sega rather than Arne, then?

I will say: the magic of achievements will make me buy and play Sonic on XBLA, even though I already have a couple versions of it (Genesis collection, Sonic collection, etc.).

Gotcha and your point makes sense. There's very few people that can speak to that and the primary source of news regarding this is going to be Sega. We'll see what happens is the best I can think of.

Well guys, I'm going to get lunch. Hang in there. Don't do anything stupid in the 30mins I'm gone. :lol

Catan has to be coming toon. Me want Catan. So badly.
Hell yeah.

I was watching that XBLA trailer from X06 again yesterday. You know, the one that promised Catan + Entdecker + Carcassonne by the end of 2006, and Sensible Soccer at the start of 2007. Whoops. Guess that didn't work out to plan :lol

It's Quake 3 Team Arena. The ESRB told me so.

Can't wait to download this tonight.

That'd be hot, but it wont be. Hopefully Catan. Oh please Bill/Peter/whatever other god to pray to, oh please.

It was just submitted to the ESRB and receivd a rating.

My sources tell me that this is the game that is coming out early tomorrow morning.
Your sources, eh? Those are "ban betting" words, right there. C'mon, you know you want to.

Dear Arne,

Whoever is the Live Arcade acquisitions/greenlight guy or committee, they need to look into getting Streets of Rage 2 or Shinobi arcade on XBLA. Someone pester Sega into making some quick cash.

Sincerely,
GAF

Q3 are you ****ing serious? What's the point of that without mods? The games pace doesn't lend itself well to controller play. Anyways no RA3 no sale.

I'm seconding this, but would like to add: Ikari Warriors and Guerilla War. Please. I'm begging.

Quake III was great fun on the Dreamcast.

I read that yesterday. I'll gladly pay 800 MSP for that. Hell, I'll wait up until it's ready to be downloaded. I loved that game. So many fond memories.

Ignorance is bliss, Q3 was superior in every possible way on PC.
You're right. Ignorance is bliss. If Quake III was fun on the Dreamcast, it was fun on the Dreamcast. It's "superiority" as you call it on the PC doesn't mean the game wasn't fun.

I played a lot of Q3 and it's a game that's so dependent on movement by using the games physics to keep speed and momentum, as well as precision aiming. It's very much a FPS that at it's core was designed for KB and mouse.

The DC port and even the PS3 port were probably fun but it's a completely different experience. It'd be like playing Guitar Hero with a pad, or a racing game on a controller compared to a force feedback wheel. Really if you take the Q3 PC experience as a whole it's more like a generation gap. It's like you guys didn't play the real game, and I know it comes off as elitist holier than though bs but there is some legitimacy to the claim. Sure you had fun but you don't know how much fun you missed out on.

I got an idea: how about you stop assuming I never played the PC version, sport.

No, there is no legitimacy at all to the claim.

And I find it ****in' HILARIOUS that you're saying "the ports were PROBABLY fun", then you tell us why it's better on PC.

QFT.

He's lecturing me on why the PC version is better, when I'm the one who's played both.

I know what you mean man. I thought Sega would've jumped on the XBLA bandwagon long time ago. Hopefully they do and we see games like:

Shinobi
Revenge of Shinobi
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi 3
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3
Alien Syndrome
Jewel Master
Kid Chameleon
Decap Attack
ESWAT
After Burner
Arabian Fight
Tempo
Bonanza Bros.
Fantasy Zone
Fantasy Zone 2
Outrun
Power Drift
Jewel Master
Golden Axe
Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder
Sonic
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Ristar
Ranger X
Bio-Hazard Battle
Columns
Pulseman
Eternal Champions
Alisia Dragoon

So many games to list, this is just a taste of what they could bring to XBLA.

Yep, but look outside the 16 bit box:

Crazy Taxi
Daytona
Sega Rally
Virtua Cop
18 Wheeler
etc

I'd rather they just port the Genesis collection rather than use XBLA as a cheap dumping ground like they did with VC.

You've got that right. Number Two wants to see you btw.

be seeing you!
Can you send the attack sphere to pick me up? Being so awesome is quite draining.
