I know the original graphics are in tact, but the original music is edited and does indeed sound wacky.

The gameplay is very choppy, very choppy, and the enhanced graphics only ruin the gameplay with the annoying distractions in mini explosions that go on.
 
XBL seems borked at the moment. I can't even log in via xbox.com. Is there any scheduled downtime right now?

I can actually log into the network via the Xbox 360, but billing/account functions do not work at all. XBLA arcade game info shows, but the left side gamerpoint info panel does not. Weird.

Any billing/account related things do not work on billing.microsoft.com or xbox.com etc. either. Grrr...

(edit: working a bit now, but still timing out here and there trying to redeem points)

I'm logged in now, but the last few days have been kinda screwy for me trying to migrate my profile back to my 360 on LIVE.

Me and gowans friend spent most of the time talking about how much we wanted catan and how badly we were going to beat eachother at it, once we learned the rules.

Well hopefully we can get a release list at some point for XBLA. Theres no reason we can't know sooner than 2 days ahead of time.

Quick question for anyone who has bought the golf game. When playing online do you watch your opponent take his/her turn? Or do you both go through the holes at your own pace?
 
Wow, 3D Golf is atrocious. Seriously, just a bad game all around. I am shocked and appalled. There are plenty of golf games out there that are far superior for the same price or less. I'm going to go scrounge up a copy of Ribbit King to cleanse my soul now.

I feel that Golf could have been better, but I don't feel burnt because it was only $10. The demo had some promise...the full version disappointed. It's not bad...but at a time where I'm not only stretched for money, but I want a really good experience, I don't want to waste my time. I wish it was better in terms of having more levels, having more creative levels, and a better track editor. I hope that future DLC is free...to make the purchase more worthwhile.

Why would they want to reveal a real solid date when they can't even hit the vague time periods they announce at the moment?

Maybe releasing something on the original due date is a sackable offence at Microsoft. :)

You watch others take their turn.

I think the game is great. There are some pretty cool course layouts. The first time around on a few holes I didn't know which direction to hit the ball.

Now this is one of the few times I can say "a game that would better with a wiimote"

I'm hoping this week for Space Giraffe and Quake as retro...

Hopefully it's the new trend. 2 games a week, one original one retro, then in future.
1 original, 1 retro, 1 XNA game.

I hope that one day it goes,
1 original, 1 retro arcade, 1 XNA, 1 Xbox, 1 Dreamcast, ect. ect.

Didn't 3D Realms say they were very interested in Duke Nukem 3D for XBLA, but that it's up to Microsoft when it'll be released, if at all?
 
Ok so when are we going to see SNK games on XBLA?

I'd kill for online-compatible Metal Slug, Last Blade, SamSho, Wind jammers, Baseballs Stars, etc.

No they said they didn't have the time or manpower to develop it themselves so it'd be up to Microsoft to do all the work on it. :lol

The game (as in amount of levels etc) is finished but Minter still appears to be adding things to it. Just a few days ago he added a graph feature to the game: http://stinkygoat.livejournal.com/102519.html

After it's 100% finished it'll have to go through certification which may take a few months especially if there is bugs found etc. So it's probably a summer game.

I know Jeff gets lots of love here, and people want Space Giraffe... but the graphics look so much like Winamp Visualizations without any hard lines or the ability to see what the **** is going on. I predict disaster.
