That Mutant Storm game must hold the record for being the most delayed XBLA game ever. It's been talked about since the first one came out! :lol

And what ever happened to Hoopworld?

Hoopwrold is firmly in the void of the unknown.

UMK3 over SF2 Turbo and Fatal Fury Special? :lol

Even though both are three years older, they still kick the krap out of it.

I'm more surprised he gave Sonic 2 AND SOR2 a Thumbs down purely for 'weird' emulation. Besides the occasional sound issue, I didn't notice anything graphically wrong with the games. Maybe not as sharp, but hell, try plugging your Genesis into a HD console nowdays - it ain't pretty.

Well, I think what he is comparing and contrasting here is XBLA emulation versus Wii VC emulation.

Yea, about that achievement, apparently only 5 people in the world have the Ultimate Black Belt Achievement.
It's around 50 now, but that's because teamsaxo and Infrared2YaHead (I think saxo stopped doing it a long time ago though) sell it for MS points. They're so good at the game that they can do it at will, and have started making money off of it. They're candid about it, though, so at least we know who's legit and not; there's about 10 legit ones.

Excluding cheated ones, there are less people who have the full 200 in Rush'n Attack and Robotron, though. I'm working on both MSR and RNA and am close in both, but that second lap in RNA is in-fucking-sane... Robotron's never happening for me though. That shit's impossible!

Latest XBLA list from Major Nelson:

Top Arcade Titles (Full Versions)
1 1 Sonic The Hedgehog 2
2 2 Bomberman LIVE
3 - Frogger
4 - Bankshot Billiards 2
5 5 UNO
6 3 Streets of Rage 2
7 4 Puzzle Fighter HD
8 9 Sonic The Hedgehog
9 8 TMNT 1989 Arcade
10 7 Worms

No love for Tetris I guess.

People with 200 in Robotron and Joust are fricken gods. Wave 100, are you kidding me?!?

What, the fuck.

SF2HF is probably the most fun I've had in xblah. Sonic 2 is awesome and I was reminded why I like this series before it went to shit. And, it's hard, which is refreshing. SoR2 was just heaps fun.

This guy, seriously.

One thing I always wondered about, where are the Xbox Live Arcade saves stored at?

When you go into the Storage section of the dashboard and click on Jetpac Refueled for example you only see the game... but no save files or anything.

Taken in context SF2HF isn't worth it at the moment. Better to wait for HD remix.

Indeed, it is like Pac-Man, might have been worth it back when it first came out, but not these days, not with Pac-Man: CE existing.

I need some help. Anybody having problems with Streets of Rage2?

i downloaded it to my xbox but now it says i have to unlock it on this new xbox i got from the repair center. (Im already online logged to xbl so this shouldnt be a problem)

You didn't unlock it with your current account did you? That's problably the problem. In the original console you bought it, it unlocks the game for every local account, but on a new console it only works when you're online with the account with which you originally bought the game.

SOR2 did the same thing to me, my 2nd 360 died and I went out and got a core rather then do without waiting for a refurb, switched the harddrive over to the new one and SOR2 was telling me I needed to unlock it while I was online and connected to live...

All you have to do is unlock it and it'll work again, the fact that you bought it is still tied into your account so don't worry that it'll charge you again or anything. As far as I can tell it's the only game that does this, but I still need to check the rest of my XBLA titles to see if any others do this...

FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

Your right, I just checked mine out and it had went back to saying "unlock full game"...

So I just went down the list and tried out most of the most recent games I had and all of them work fine...

All except for the Sega ones...

Golden Axe, Sonic and SOR2 are all telling me they need to be unlock to play 'em, and unlocking them, turing off my system, and turning it back on and going back on Live and they need to be unlocked again...

Sonic 2 was fine, but it was bought on this console...

Well that's it for me, Sega, and XBLA until this get patched...

Uh.. No. They are two entirely different games. You guys do know that right?

Well, to be fair, Street Fighter II does have some janky netocode, though that doesn't seem to be something JP took into full account.

Seems to be better for Virtual Console, those guys love this thing.

I really don't understand their criticisms. They say a lot of the games suffer from bad emulation, laggy controls, blurry graphics, and recommend the VC release instead... Have I played a different system to these guys? I've 200 / 200 a few of them and they seem perfectly accurate to me. The only problem I have had is the crap dpad on the 360 controller.

Edit:

No doubt about that. Although most of the time it's perfectly playable and certainly better than nothing. As you said though, JP didn't really talk about that much anyway.

I think was JP is basically saying is that VC Emulation > XBLA Emulation. Also, what I was actually referring to was the fact he gave the likes of Doom and Smash TV the thumbs up in spite of their bad netcode, but you are also correct, had he taken this into account, there is no way Streets of Rage 2 would have gotten the thumbs down.

I've never played Puzzle Quest. How awesome is this awesome game?

Pretty awe inspiring but less so then certain members of Neo GAF would have you believe, but that is mainly due to the really horrific bugs that inhabit both portable versions, if such things don't exists, then everything should be gravy.

I enjoyed Puzzle Quest. I didnt finish the game but I had fun with it. It does get a bit annoying later on though cause it feels like the computer or yourself get lucky with the additional turns and crap.

When are we getting Samurai Shodown II?
If memory serves me right, the PR announcement showed it on a list of games for 2008. So, not for a few months at the very least. As it is, Fatal Fury took about a year from announcement to fruition.

I love puzzle quest, definitely recommend anyone to get it. Very addictive. It won't change your life but if you like puzzles it'll suck up plenty of your time.

Will we get the option to turn the blur off for Samurai Shodown II? Because Fatal Fury Special looked like crap :(

SF2 Turbo and Streets of Rage 2 look awesome, I don't know what went wrong with FFS.
