In the MS rulebook, you are NOT allowed to charge for the first 200 achievements. So the remaining packs must be free.
Oh, you mean like Aquazone, which had a max of about 420 points until buying fish from marketplace for about 10000 yen, and it's still not reached 1000 points yet.

No doubt. Why aren't we seeing arcade ports of Shinobi, Jackal, or Tecmo Bowl? People would buy those!

The Arcade version of Tecmo Bowl is nowhere near as good as the NES ones. The graphics are better, but the NES games absolutely stomp a mudhole in it feature-wise. If memory serves, there are only two teams in the arcade game, The red one and the blue one.

Though it would be kind of cool if they did the arcade style game, with the ultra-widescreen and remade it with a big list of teams.

These rules came out after Aquazone's release. It was a press release just before Shivering Isles came out so they could add the extra 250 points to it. Though no Live Arcade game has gone above 200, they're allowed to add 50 for extra content.

Shrek-N-Roll? Spongebob Squarepants?

Hm

A lot of crap coming in the next few weeks. I guess I'll buy Exit to hold me over since I wasn't able to finish the PSP version.

Small Arms and Band of Bugs are both at 235, actually. Small Arms added those lame "play as the new characters" achievements, Band of Bugs had "complete this new campaign" achievements for both the new DLC campaigns.

Feels like I'm forgetting one... Oh well. Personally, I'd love new ones for Outpost Kaloki X and Ninja-Bee have said it's possible (but not probable) so here's hoping.

Happy happy, joy joy.

Just finished Puzzle Quest last night, too.

The first Mutant Storm is probably the most underrated XBLA game. It really got lost in the Geometry Wars hype, but it was a ton of fun and had more options (including co-op) than Geo Wars.

I'm really looking forward to Empire!

You ain't kidding. I truly regret selling my NES. I'd pick up another one if I thought I wouldn't have to blow in the cartidges for 5 minutes.

As much as I loved the NES version, I'd take the arcade as well. Seeing that Contra and Super Contra are on there (From the same era) I could seriously see that happening. Unlike Contra, the NES edition wasn't drastically better than the arcade. Top Gunner was a funtastic arcade machine and online co-op would rock me.

sweet I'll check these out soon, buying Mutant for the co-op and the table is free for pinball excellent, maybe we need to bump the pinball fx scores thread now :D

For the Australians out there TMNT arcade is finally up and it is free to boot! :D

I guess it is to say sorry for the massive wait or something. Now we just need Boom Boom Rocket!

Mutant Storm Empire is all sorts of super hot sexy awesome!!

Also the new Pinball FX table is sweet, I forgot how much I liked that game, and how much polish it had, plus it's free and has more achievements ( I got one for getting a multi-ball working) only managed 14 something million my first go but MSE has all my attention at the moment and I can't play them both at once...

Mutant Storm Empire is freakin' awesome so far. It just seems like it's gonna be a pretty short game, but I can also see myself playing the levels over and over on Black Belt.

For anyone who wants to do some co-op or compare scores, add me: plastic handgun

I tried the new Pinball FX table and it plays really fast, especially in multi-ball. guess that it helps that the right half of the table is more or less empty. Got 82,000,000 on my second try for 69th place.

MSE looks pretty awesome. I didn't even make it past the first stage before I had to quit, but I like how they linked the stages together.

Beastie Combos add a whole layer of tough to this fucker.

WOW, so much fun.

"No, no, DON'T SHOOT HIM!!!"

I agree, Mutant Storm Reloaded was an incredible game, and arguably a deeper experience than Geometry Wars was. I'm really looking forward to Empire, and the level and gameplay variation looks like it'll certainly hold up on it's own.

The other announced titles, besides the kiddy ones, make me giddy. N+, Undertow and Switchball all look awesome, and are probably must-buy titles.

Wait, there's a new PinballFX table?

Stupid question, but I take that online co-op is confirmed? With all the levels from the single player?
Seriously, I'd like to know before I actually buy MSE (only have few MS Points left at the moment so it's either this or Exit). :p

I'm kinda torn on Empire the more I play. The removal of the power-ups is a very wise choice, they've streamlined the HUD and rearranged the game structure to make the level structure much more interesting, among other big improvements.

But, on the other hand, they've kept and in some cases amplified some things that were really terrible in Reloaded, such as the fact that enemies dying causes a shockwave which can throw enemies at you completely unpredictably and often undodgably. The huge problem, though, is that the kinda crappy and slightly-too-big hitbox in Reloaded has gotten fat and is now a GIGANTIC hitbox, much larger than the actual ship. This means that dodging and weaving through tight shot patterns is pretty much impossible now, which is just unacceptable. :(

I am addicted already, though; no question about that. One detail I'm especially in love with are all the hints for fans of Reloaded. The big "you ran out of time, now you must die" meanie from Reloaded shows up as a regular enemy, the Pom Pom robot shows up as a boss-type enemy, you now play as one of the laser-bugs from Reloaded, etc. Cute stuff.

God damn it, people; no, Undertow's crap!

N+ and Switchball, on the other hand, rock. N+ plays beautifully on 360.

Yes, it's in there. I'm pretty sure I've confirmed that like a dozen times in this thread by now.

Ok, just wanted to be 100% sure, since I'm paranoid like that.

Oh, and didn't you hate Undertow because you thought it would've been an adventure game instead of a multiplayer shooter? ;p

Mutant Storm Empire is incredible, I just wish each stage was a bit longer (not that the game is short with all the difficulty levels and co-op). I love the variety though.

Why is Undertow crap?

The new pinball table has a new achievement - one for 10 points. Given that they're making five additional tables, and arcade games can add up to 50 extra gamerscore, I'd expect each new table will have one new 10 point achievement for a total of 50. (250 points total from Pinball FX at that stage.)

If you don't see the new achievement in the list, exit the game and reload it after it updates itself. I had to do this in order to get the new achievement to show up.

Yeah, I admit that my big first disappointment was the lame concept, but it's not like I just decided that it was crap before even playing it. I did, of course, give it a fair shake and I wasn't impressed in the slightest.

I just don't understand who would want to play a versus Robotron with lame character classes, lame sub-weapons that never feel cool or useful, the ultra-lame main weapon harpoon, lame graphics, lame annex/territories/CTF-type gameplay and general lameness. I guess what I'm saying is that it isn't crap, per se, it just felt terribly lame and uninspired.

Thanks for the ProTip. I'll try it next time I fire it up.

The update lets you move the dot matrix display, by the way.

There are 2 more tables in the works, not 4...so I think those will have 20 gamer points each.

I totally forgot mutant storm came out this morning! shit!

I failed you gowans! Forgive me, PM me when you're on tonight and we'll fire it up.
