Also included is the Academy Award® nominated From A to Z-Z-Z-Z, which focuses on a day in the life of an adorable, day-dreaming boy named Ralph Phillips, who escapes a mundane school day by use of his active imagination.

Disc three is entirely comprised of bonus content. I want to see a preview for all the restoration they did...now I'm curious.

The restoration on the old golden collection dvds was astounding. I expect nothing less from WB on this. They really baby their crown jewel classics when it comes to home releases.

EDIT: And a great fucking collection in this first set. It seems more loaded with classics than the old DVD did. But it is missing my all time fave: Bully for Bugs.

So a lot of familiar ground from the Golden Collections? I was hoping for 75 shorts or up, with a third of it new. I was just about to buy Golden Collection Volume 5 this week for $20 as well (have 1-3) and that still seems like the better deal if I want new content. Nice packaging and stellar list though.

I never had a chance to check out the Golden Collections because as soon as bluray was announced I knew it was only a matter of time...

I might have to netflix a disc or something to see though.

I almost picked up the dvd collections they had the other day. Will have to wait for this. :) 40,000 doesn't seem like much. I guess they will probably release it without the extras afterwards.

Why would they limit this?

Other than the book, I don't care for any of the physical items, so I'll be getting the non-limited one. They need to release Flintstones and Jetsons platinum collections.

that T&J set looks awesome. i love the fact that its all chronological. i dont have a BluRay player yet, but im going to pre-order that set.

the Looney Tunes set seems awesome as well, lots of really great stuff there. seems to be a bit random though. id like something more cohesive like the T&J set.

Curious about what shorts that are on this weren't on volumes 1-6. I have all of the golden collection volumes and I'm wondering if this will be worth it.

[edit] Their are only 13 new shorts if you own volumes 1-6. Probably won't be picking this up until it gets cheap.

Preordered! Should I be glad I held out on the DVD Golden collections?

Ahhh I can't wait. I haven't had any Looney Tunes in my life since the old days of Nickelodeon. I'm going to force my future children to watch these.

I have never pre-ordered from Amazon. Do I need pay now for a gauranteed copy, or can I wait a little more?

How does the Looney Tunes collection fit in if you bought all the Golden Collection releases? Are there any cartoons found there not on the Golden Collection?

They won't charge you until it actually ships when it is released. And if the price changes between now and then, they'll honor the lowest price.

any chance these won't have the DVNR issues and jacked colors the DVD sets had?

I think they corrected that in the latter DVD sets, or at least that's what i've read. I think this won't have those issues.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Only 50 shorts? Each of the golden collections had like 60 featured shorts plus a few bonus ones.

The Tom and Jerry set is an easier sell since I never bought any of the DVDs. I'd rather buy that than mostly upgrade on what I already own.

That's what I read as well, I only ever got the first set. But I'm hoping the same episodes don't have the same issues on BR. I had the LDs, so after the first DVD set I didn't bother supporting them, but I am hopeful for these!! HD Looney Tunes mmmm...
