LMAO

How can you have such conflicting views?

You're scared of people carrying guns everywhere but you support them doing it without training and a permit? the fuck?

on another note.
Really hope movie theatres and studios stop with their stubbornness and the Netflix style of distribution of movies becomes more popular.

I really am thinking about never stepping foot into a theater again.

So USA recently changed laws to get guns with zero training? Amazing.

One dumb motherfucker of a state =/= entire USA. In most states you need a special license/training if you want to carry a gun concealed.

There are some places through where you can walk into a store and 15 minutes later have a loaded handgun in your pocket. And any state who encourages that needs to fuck right off.

Guy was probably stroking his gun through his jacket, fantasizing about an 'active shooter' incident unfolding in that theatre and his chance to become a real hero by firing his tool of justice at muzzle flashes in a dark room.

Ah ah ah this must happen more often than we think...

Can anyone explain to me why we can't just regulate bullets? I.e. Rubber only including law enforcement where they are powerful enough to break a bone or knock you out but not pierce vital organs. Only exception would be hunting and carefully regulated.

It is very easy to make reloads. Just about anybody who can make a few dyes and owns a press can do it. I've done it a few times myself.

Considering the speed of any projectile, I doubt you could guarantee any round is non lethal.

Dude's lucky he's both alive and didn't accidentally shoot someone else in the theater.

The couple said they support the state's current law which went into effect July 1, allowing gun owners to conceal and carry without requiring any training or having a permit.

Who in the flying fuck thought that was a good idea and how fucking stupid do you have to be to support something as asinine as allowing conceal and carry without a permit or training? FUCK...

Even high rate of fire? I would think something like a handgun would require higher precision when making the bullets. I'm not looking to make them completely non lethal just less lethal and survivable where the primary directive is to incapacitate rather than kill.

So what happens now, does that guy get his gun taken away? Please tell me he isn't allowed to carry a gun in public anymore because he's that careless with it.

No law against shooting yourself by accident!

Seriously, though, hopefully they can get him for reckless discharge of a firearm. Although as I read the statute, it's probably only a misdemeanor. And of course Kansas would have to charge him first.

Is there anyone in GAF that thinks that a person should be able to conceal and carry without any training or permits? You need to take a driving test to drive a car but nothing to carry a gun? Why are laws like this

sometimes, i think i should buy a gun just because it seems that everyone else has one, then i realise that i would most likely kill myself with it and move on.

That's a terrifying thought. For for fucking real though, it should be common place like a no-smoking sign; expectations should be that accidents happen.

Haha I like this thought though, there are areas where you can't smoke but feel free to bring your gun.

My old man was working in Texas and went on a charter boat out fishing. Before they could get on board the group was told no guns, if you have one go put it back in your car. My father and a Frenchman who was working there also were the only people to not go back to their vehicles. Dad was looking around like are you fucking serious, they can't all be carrying surely, we're going out fishing on a boat, what on earth do you need a gun for?

Someone hasn't played Ridiculous Fishing.

Jaws, of course.

Seems like a totally reasonable & rational decision; I can taste the freedom. Somewhat more serious, do we know if this individual actually had any training or how the weapon was discharged?

Well Yeh, they actually ended up catching a shark. As they were trying to bring it into the boat it was turning out to be a struggle, so one of the deckhands went back down into the crew quarters, brought back a pistol and emptied a clip into its head. Dad and the Frenchmen were apparently laughing and shaking their head at how surreal it was.

A friend of mine caries a pistol holster thing in his crotch. I continually tell him that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of someone doing

Look, the world is a scary place if you're stupid. Terrorists, cell phones, school shootings, social networks, blacks still allowed to roam free.... The only thing these simple folk can rely on is the easy pull of the trigger, and if their kids accidently shoot themselves, or it goes off during your weekly cleaning rituals then hey, small price to pay for the comfort that when the world gets out of control you can end a person's life. Or at least that's what Fox News and conservative radio tell them.

Yeah that shit is nuts. Even if you support concealed carry, do you really want a bunch of turds who don't know which end the bullets come out of handling weapons around you?
Apparently four states do, since that's how many are "constitutional carry" states, which require no certification of or notification to the government. Hell, in a couple of states you can concealed carry, without a permit, at the age of sixteen. Without parental permission. In at least one state you don't even have to tell the cops you're carrying if they stop you. Lots of crazy gun laws out there, and getting crazier all the time. Utah's trying to get rid of their concealed carry laws, so they can join the other "constitutional carry" states.

I literally can't get into the mindset of someone who wants people to carry around guns with them. It's like someone telling me they actually believe in ghosts. What's the point?

I mean, even the majority of cops spend their entire careers without having to use their weapons. And they're supposed to be involved in shitty situations. It's in their job description. What makes the average chucklehead think him carrying around a gun will make any amount of difference? The odds are astronomical. Carrying around a first aid kit would be incredibly more likely to help them or others, if they're so inclined. But I guess carrying first aid kits doesn't give them a chubby.

You should need to get a 100 on the test after mandatory training to get a gun. Safety, knowledge of all gun laws both federal and state, clean background and proof of proper storage

Ideally I want there to be no guns but one thing at a time

Muh 2nd Amendment

Even pro gun GAF would support proper training first.

100% obvious that this grown man was sitting in the theatre playing with his gun like a child with a toy. "No I need a gun to defend myself! Hostile government! The Constitution!"

If I were sitting in that theatre and the guy next to me would accidentally discharge a gun, he'd better have that first aid kit at the ready because i would absolutely beat his ass cripple.

Imagine if he had accidentally shot and killed someone? He would've probably gotten off because it was an accident when instead people should not even be allowed to carry the damn gun in the first place. Goddam!! When are people going to wake the fuck up?

If we're going by conservative logic, that guy is lucky to be alive, since any one of those freedom-loving citizens in the theater with him were completely in their right to shoot him as soon as his gun went off.

Well we know guns don't kill people, but cars have a battery. You can't explain that.

I cannot fathom whatever logic was used to OK being able to get a gun under those conditions.. let alone the dude himself who thought a theater was an appropriate place to bring the gun.

If we're going to keep guns around it seems completely reasonable, not to mention it would fucking make sense, to make everyone who plans to buy a gun take multiple tests in both gun safety and handling before they can even lay hands on one let alone buy one. Then once those tests are passed you have to wait a mandatory amount of time and get thoroughly background checked, including mental health and potential anger issues.

There is simply no good reason not to.

It would suck to be such a scared little man that you feel you need to endanger your fellow citizens in order to feel safe. Some mental help would probably help you more than any gun.

But that would mean the government determines who does or doesn't get a gun, and then they can take the permit away and then there is no way to defend yourself against that government when they turn evil. Well, if you can't own a glock to shoot that submarine launched ICBM containing twenty hydrogen bomb warheads while it's circling the planet in outer space, then all bets are off I tells ya, ALL BETS ARE OFF.

Sensible post right here.
