(OH SHIZNITS) Devil May Cry 4 confirmed multiplatform PS3/360/PC

I'm really having trouble believing that the game will be somehow diluted on PS3 due to the fact that it's now multiplatform.

It's the same loving engine that we've seen on 360. We know it looks great. I've not seen anything in DMC4 that couldn't be done on 360. I don't think they'll be any graphical compromises in either version.

Wow. This is great. I am so excited. I never liked Devil May Cry but now that it is on the Microsoft Xbox I think its the best game ever. And if thats not good enough, this trilogy sounds great. Everythings great. Great, great, great.

I am speechless... I am without speech.

You do know that your first sentence is the same as your second. And that is repetition. And there is no place for repitition in a thread like this, no place you hear!

Now I dont know if its been mentioned yet, but I just want to say how great this is.

I think you're being purposefully stupid. Your sarcastic references to one of the greatest first-party games of all time is completely lost on this thread, and is meaningless. Knock it off.

oh boy...

so many juniors will be banned tonight....

I'm happy its multiplatform, but for God's sake, this isnt IG-F'n-N!
Expressing hate for a console = expressing hate for all the good games = expressing hate for everything related to games = GTFO out this forum... :)

with respect to the Konami code girl:

its a seinfeld quote... lol

I just find it funny.

While MGS4 is an inevitable 30 page thread waiting to happen, I think Sony can rest easy about Final Fantasy XIII. Unless of course Blue Dragon and or Lost Oddessy sell well, then I wouldn't say FFXIII would be out of the question on the 360.

You knows what if funny on Gaf:

What people don't want you to know is that the xbox system is also losing exclusives. Like: Rainbow Six vegas, F.E.A.R., Oblivion etc. It's no fair, when the other system trips everyone doesn't seem to mind. But, when Sony trips, OMG IT'S THE END OF THE PLAYSTATION. This has got to be the most grueling console war Sony has ever embarked on.

this is just :lol
This isn't going to be read in a thread going 120mph but what the hell:

Microsoft has always shared a ton of third party games with other consoles. Out of the three games you mentioned two of the publishers, Sega and Ubisoft have focused on multiplatform development as their company mantra.

One of the big issues you're missing is that Microsoft is the underdog of this scenario and currently its vastly outperforming Sony at their own game. Something that was unheard of a few years prior. This announcement is also riding a wave of highly negative press that the PS3 has been facing for the past year. This is a PR nightmare of their own creation and these announcements are further exacerbating the situation.

Losing exclusives certainly doesnt bolster the health of the PS3, which is VITAL to a healthy Video game industry. Competition keeps product costs down, and keeps companys hungry. Losing Sony could be a bad thing, so lets pray this isnt "a nail in their coffin."

I think it would be better for us gamers to have one platform easily leading 2 others that compete together for second. Just like last gen.
The dominance of the PS2 last gen is the very most important reason why that console is having like the biggest and most diverse library of all consoles so far.
In a world where it's too much of a risk to release your game on any platform, you go for the proven formulas before anything else.

Because Epic wants to take their 4 Million+ selling franchise from the 360 to a platform that has yet to see a multi-million seller in software, right :lol
Of course, you dream if you think gear of war will stay on xbox360 only, why they wont target a larger audiance?
Epic is multiplatform dev..

What I want to know is when Devil May Cry 4 will be released for the 360 and PC. If it's six months to a year (like with Resident Evil 4) after the PS3 release, I don't think that will stop the PS3 version from getting all the attention.

That said, is this even a highly anticipated title in the first place? I know Famitsu's most wanted PS3 games are always Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, and the already-multiplatform Biohazard 5.

It's been said that it's being released on the same day as the PS3 versoin.

Good decision, Capcom. It really is happening. I'm excited about the shift and I say it's about time that the console land got shaken up and evened out.

Your not going to see that this gen though. It's going to be worldwide Wii by a sizeable margin, 360 comfortable#2, and Sony dragging up the rear. Hell, there may be as much dstance worldwide between the 360/ps3, as there is with the wii/360 by the end of this gen.

Clear-cut #1,#2,#3.

Here's a snippet from the official PR. I've bolded the relevant part:

If Final Fantasy XIII goes multi I'm selling my PS3.

You hear me Sony. Don't **** it up.

Maybe Square drops PS3 and the game goes to PS2 and to the Wii. I don't see a mainline FF or DQ going to the 360. I can see Capcom and Konami with big action titles, but the usual S/E or Japanese RPG fan is not a usual 360 demographic.
