(OH SHIZNITS) Devil May Cry 4 confirmed multiplatform PS3/360/PC

Sony should time the release of God Of War PS3, at least, within the same month as DMC4. :lol

i think in the official PR is said day and date with PS3, at least as far as 360 ver. goes. It's burried pages back. Wario64 posted it, I think.
 
Wow....just wow.

Im not trying to troll here, but it honestly seems like any concievable reason for owning a PS3 flies out the window on a daily basis.

I did, indeed, buy my ps3 with dmc4 as my most anticipated title for it. Oh well I'll just need to find another ps3 game to latch onto in anticipation.
 
I can see Capcom and Konami, but the usual S/E fan is not a usual 360 demographic.

but right now all this goes out the window as far as next gen is concerned...

for a japanese gamer to play FFXIII, they need a 50/60k PS3 if it's on PS3, or a 30/38k X360.

The PS3 is ahead 2:1 right now - but it's still 250k vs 500k or so...
That's not a big enough demographic to prop up the biggest next gen game - so SE are going to have to rely on people laying down some cash REGARDLESS of the fact that Sony has had the games in the past.

In the end - the people who want to play FFXIII are FINAL FANTASY fans - whether the game is on the X360 or PS3 is neither here nor there - so if the game does go multiplatform, then it'll be interesting to see which userbase grows more.

Gears was published and funded by MS. The odds of it appearing on PS3 are about the same as the odds of Gran Turismo appearing on X360.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the directors cut of dead rising hit the PS3 though. Capcom seems to be heavily in the multiplatform mode right now, which, IMO, is a good thing.

I was holding onto the hope that this would come out for the 360. It's going to be one hell of a fight when DMC4 takes on Ninja Gaiden 2 in 2008. Finally get to pit two of the best action games of last gen (with the God of War series) against each other properly.
 
This was bound to happen. Capcom took a risk (compared to to other japanese devs) with Dead Rising and Lost Planet, and they made money. It only makes sense to maximize their profits. With games costing so much to make, why be exclusive?

This generation is looking more and more like the battle of first party games. We just heard of this. Who knows how long has Sony known this? It's not good for them, but they got to play with the cards at hand (some of which they dealt themselves).

Maybe all these 3rd party games going multi will go back exclusive to certain platforms when there is a significant user base and depending where they sell most. It happened with Resident Evil, if anything Capcom is happy moving where the money is.

Smart, conservative money goes PS2/DS for FF XIII. I would not be suprised if Wii gets a mainline FF.

Back on topic, somewhat, what about Onimusha?

awesome news. 360 really doing great of late. XBLA hitting on all cylinders, 360 nabbing former exclusives.... it's almost as if they made a deal with THA DEVIL! ;) :lol

You really shouldn't be listing DMC with Dragon Quest.

Oblivion will probably getting nearly as many sales as DMC ... at least in the west. DMC isn't THAT popular.

Maybe on the forum. But you forget one thing,there's a world outside that doesn't give a shit if the game runs better on one machine or the other. Theyre more concerned with other things.
