Where the hell are the new regional variants?

It's LONG PAST time to show them off. If they genuinely aren't including any new ones...I wouldn't even know what to say tbh. They're such an easy way to make these directors cut versions more appealing than usual, so to refrain from it would be absolutely ridiculous.

Then again, people are getting sold on the game based on new cutscenes, so what do I know.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Forcing two regions into one game came at the expense of the regions. Johto I'd NY far the smallest region and the level curve is completely fucked. And Kanto is even worse! It's a mere shell of its former self.

No it didn't. They didnt plan to add Kanto until later in development, it has no bearing on the design of Johto.
