Ohlala: The "Not an Escort App" Where Every Woman Literally Sets Her Price

When officers part of human trafficking investigations groups at the city and state level go to training exercises, briefings, and conferences with the FBI, they are told that somewhere between 70-90% of all women in prostitution have somebody behind them pushing them to do it. In other words, 70-90% of all prostitutes are trafficked.

In some areas it is far less, but at the national level that is what the FBI says is true. And I'm inclined to believe them.

So where is the evidence? Oh, and I'm not from the USA so the FBI don't hold much weights to me.

Evidence wise I don't have much beyond me working at a police station and being good friends with the lead prostitution investigator in my city and personally going on four successful busts with him to local hotels.

Of those four, three of them had men behind them pushing them to do it. And all four told us that they had been approached by men in the past, have had contact through their advertisements with men trying to pull them away from whoever they were working for and with, and had text messages to prove it.

That said, those three basically said that the men they worked with arranged dates, took a bit of money, but otherwise treated them well. The fourth said she wanted to stay independent because it is easier to get out of the business that way. Talking to that same investigator, he says in my area the number is roughly 30-50%, but at the national level it is certainly in the 70% range.

Where is your evidence for this?:

Both these narrative totally ignore the major middle ground and the biggest group, the consenting independent ladieswho do it because it pays well and they have the perspective to live that life. But no sensationalism there for the media for clicks, and so it's totally ignored for being off message.

I don't even get what you're arguing or why you're arguing it. Does a low percentage of trafficked women mean that it's ok? Or is it just something you don't want to think about so youre trying to pretend it's not that bad? Assumed consent is a convenient way to brush away guilt.

Anecdotal evidence of course http://www.punternet.com/forum/inde...ion-article-saturday-6th-june/#comment-699739

If the number were as high as are claimed it would be so easy to find and free these women. After all, no point being a prostitute if your punters can't find you. By the by, I've already heard the super secret underground clubs run by rich Arabs reason for not finding any of these numerous Traffiked ladies.

"I’m 100 percent certain I’ll fuck him"

I like this statement.

Now switch the genders. Oh.
That's why genders are not equal in all things and never will be.

Regarding the app, I rather spend $20-40 on an online date with the chance of sex with a girl who wants to fuck me than $600 for the chance to have sex with a girl that in reality is just hot for the money and not for me.

I'm cheap. Results may vary.

it's not prostitution. It's compensated dating, or being a sugar daddy.

Doesn't compensated dating for the most part end in some form of sexual favour though? I can't think of hearing many stories about compensated dating where it isn't used as some kind of front for prostitution.

Isn't that how most escort agencies work? Problem seems to be that in the US it is mostly illegal, attracting more shady figures instead of having licenses and such in place to control that.

Or were they forced to go on these dates and threatened if they declined?

I think most men would expect sex when they pay hundreds of dollars for a date. Women who use the app should be very clear from the get go if they really just want to go on a date to avoid confusion.

Yup, I always find it funny when people names relate to what they do :D

The doctor a friend of mine went to to have his shit examined after he came back from india was called Dr. Notdurft.
The penis doctor in my area is called Dr. Castringius.
I've seen billboards around for a gynecologist named Richard Good

Dick Good

I was confused, then read it's a German app where prostitution is legal and then I was confused again about how it is being launched in America.

Like what the hell is "paid dating". And what's the mind set of people doing that aren't expecting sex out of it.

I promise that every man using it is expecting sex. It would seem there are some naive young ladies who think otherwise.

Right, I was mostly referring to the one on the receiving end of the transaction.

"Hey, let me pay you so I can take you for a nice time that I'm also most likely paying for so you and I can enjoy so flirtatious company".
"Sure! Cash only and the money up front. By the way, I'm not a prostitute".

?????

I always expect sex when its about those instant dating apps.

If I want something serious, i'd sign up for those professional dating sites (I'm sure US has these too).

Which leads to another issue. Tara’s black, and she’s experienced a fair amount of prejudice on the site — and in a more blatant way than she’s experienced on Tinder. "I don’t think it’s racism," she says of most guys’ behavior. "The racism comes when they’re hateful. They’re not hateful, they just don’t know, and they don’t say it right." One potential suitor, after ending their chat abruptly, came back to apologize — he didn’t mean to be rude, it’s just that he didn’t like "African-American girls."

Not surprised.

$600 and no sex, Stuart you're a tool. Hell I've had cheaper costing actual dates that ended with sex, we all probably have. Let's not split hairs, this is prostitution, but whatever, if a woman wants to do something it's her body, and no one should tell her she can't. The obscene amount if money for these dates is just crazy though.

But it's in writing. She said even after her posturing that she wants to fuck him. So she pocketed the money, knows he's married, and still is going to bone him the next time he drops into town.

He gets what he paid for, just with standard shipping instead of overnight.

Ok, this got me

Easier and cheaper to get an escort I'd imagine. If Stuart wanted sex, he doesn't sound very bright.

$600 for a date? Not like he lacks female company as he has a wife, sound like a desperate man. Probably paid for dinner and drinks too. Yeesh.

Guys who can throw around $600 for this shit aren't desperate. He's probably some well to do asshole with high disposable. This is more about "convenience" and "entertainment" to guys like them.

I'm not surprised that there are guys that would simply pay for the company with no sex. A lot of guys can't cross that line.

Still, paying $600+ for 'company' is hilarious.

So racist, then.

I feel like I have no clue what is going on in the dating scene, you gotta start paying a upfront fee to go out with people now? :(

Why would you assume a niche app reflects the dating scene in general? Escorts, sugar daddies, compensated dating, whatever you want to call it have existed since forever.
