Yea, Burr is just some pc hollywood comic now. At one point he was probably one of the best around.

I think there was a big stink about his Paper Tiger, which was 4 years ago now. Like people calling to cancel Netflix subscriptions and more ridicilously people working on Netflix protesting against the special.

But he had another one, maybe two after that, and he's still doing excellent so clearly whatever was attempted largely failed.

I don't even remember his Paper Tiger, other than I laughed a lot. Did he say something that triggered the insane people? Probably. It's not hard.

Burr was already a huge-name though and those tend to survive unscathed except for the me-too cases.

Im sure old dads will be a funny film. I just think I would have heard half of from F is for family and his stand up routines. Which both are funny as hell.

Ha, I was pondering over this earlier today as well. It was quite a surprise to see Disney cast him in the show, and equally surprising that Bill accepted the offer! One would think Disney and Bill Burr are polar opposites, almost the antithesis of each other, given their distinctive styles and brand images.

I guess it was ok because he was a "bad guy". By the time they showed he was capable of redemption, everyone was too invested in watching the finale to cancel it!

Yeah, I don't know if it's rare to have a good host/guest chemistry when they pretty much agree on the ridiculness of the discussed issues and make fun of them, but this was not it.

Crazy that I've listened and watched Burr for years and never heard of the Philly incident. Also I wouldn't discount the movie, F is For Family had a great run and it legit made an older guy I know cry from the memories of his Dad yelling at them from his PTSD associated with Korea so there's that.
