I've got an Aureal Vortex 2 sound card, complete with A3D 2.0, from 1999.

And I'll be damned if I "upgrade" it until someone comes out with a sound card with a better 3d sound API. Sadly, I've been waiting six years.

It's gotta be the floppy drive from my first computer, a Packard Bell 75Mhz from '96.

I haven't used a floppy disk in years, yet it still would feel weird to me to have a computer without a floppy drive.

although its not in my computer, my speakers are from 1997. I have no idea what brand or model they are and i don't see it labeled anywhere.

Oldest part in my computer is a 30gb 5200rpm HD, pretty poor considering my system is a athlon64 3400,videoCard rX800pro, 1gb pc3200 DDR memory

Probably my monitor, a simple Samsung "17. Been using it since 00'-ish; not looking for a new one just yet.

Nothing in the main box is older than summer '03, which is when I bought the Mobo, RAM, and the box itself. Most everything else has been replaced at least once since that time (including a certain infamous vid-card ), and a little more is in the mail right now.

Shout out ta Newegg.

I also have a tnt2, bought my computer in 2000, so all the parts are the same age.. exept for the ram I added last year.

I'm on my third PC but I still have a 1.2GB Quantum Fireball HD from 1996 in it, the damn thing just wont die!

The whole thing minus the extra RAM I threw in last month. It's an Apple Powerbook laptop, so it's not like I can really just go about swapping parts in and out.

I'm sure the NIC.
Probably the same here, seeing as how i got it on eBay used. The Linksys cards they give you with Earthlink DSL are horrible for Bittorrent.

Before that, it was my 3DFX Voodoo 4500 card, acquired for a penny back in 1998/1999.

Both of my computers date from 2003, and my monitor is newer than that, so everything is pretty new. It's not really up to date though, it's a really old motherboard design (ECD K7SOM+) and bottom-drawer processor (AMD Athlon XP 2200+ 1.8Ghz, which is now called Sempron).

My motherboard and soundcard, they're from 1998. I run a Taulatin@1600 mhz on the mainboard though, so it's still pretty competent for today's standards.

As of now: floppy and NIC are pre-2000, and most of the rest of it is the best part of four-five years old.

As of this coming Saturday: all the same age, all new. :)

All of them coz I'm using a P2 300MHz I bought in late '97.

Well except for the whopping 20Gig HDD and a Sony Mini Hi-Fi I use as the speakers...

Probably my HDD. 45GB IBM Deskstar from 1999-2000 or so. It's been in three different builds to get to this point. 2nd runner up is probably my SB Live! sound card.

My PC has a floppy drive from my original 486 which I bought in 1994. :D
::shrug:: They aren't any different.

I ripped apart a relative's old P1 system. He has a floppy drive that looks exactly like the one I have in my comp.

Probably an Sblive gold card in my second pc. I got it when it first came out, very expensive back then but hey it still works and has fancy gold connectors and a magical thing called a gameport.

I remember playing unreal 1 connected to two stereo receivers in surround sound while using the tv-out on my canopus pure3d 6mb voodoo1 card. PC gaming was so much better when it was still for nerds only...
