OLED gaming tv recommendations

I only think that the s90D might be a bit lacking in brightness during day time maybe ? But when the room is in the dark it's spectacular. I landed on fine settings if some are interested

Been looking at the new 5K2K WOLED - LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B. Very tempted to pull the trigger since it's on sale for $400 less than usual and I can apply my company's WFH stipend to bring it just under a grand out of my pocket.

I've been waiting for a worthy monitor to pair with my 5090, and I find myself playing exclusively in 21:9 these days. A 4K ultrawide OLED with the PPI of 45" sounds like the perfect thing, but there are some tiny nits against it. Specifically that they're using DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR13.5, so I'll have to use DSC when gaming at the 5120x2160 @165Hz with 10-bit HDR.

What do y'all think? Still rocking the LG C9, and I think I'll miss 12-bit HDR.

I've heard the S95 was bad for gaming because it separates the i/o box from the TV into a separate unit, and it has issues with 120hz and freesync. Not sre if its the 95F though.
I mean if you have the $$$$, LG G5 is amazing and bright as hell.

Edit: Personally I am thinking of replacing my older 65" LCD with 77" or 83" S90D / C4. Just trying to figure out if instead it makes sense to wait till BF.

Costco has both 77" LG/Samsung at $2K including 5 year warranty which is not too shabby.

ah thats what it is, 144hz. I'm in the market for an S90D myself, price to perfromance ratio seems to peak there. Not sure if I can plunk down another grand for the 95

Careful, the 83' is not QD OLED

On the Samsung side? Its more a question if it's a big enough deal vs getting a bigger panel. A larger panel is always nice and I haven't minded LG's C series over the years which isn't QD-OLED.
Yes the S90D sorry. Sure size matters but all the rest of the S90D series (at least in the US) is QD OLED which is noticeably better (wider color volume and higher peak brightness)

S95F is much better especially if gaming during the day
Way brighter, higher refresh rate for gaming, a bit slimmer profile due to smarter rear design
And an anti reflective coating that is improved from last year s95d

At night it's very close tbh. Barely any difference. But s95f is a very nice tv. The brightness and superior day time quality was surprising.

It's what will likely make Me return the s90d and wait to invest in one of these. S90f is also better during the day than 90d so I will keep my eye out there

Night- no difference between 90d and f for me

All these tvs only 4 hdmi though. Wish would be more

Got my S90D yesterday. It has incredible picture quality. Only thing I don't like is the stand. That thing is straight up garbage cheap plastic. Inserting the legs was a pain and took some force to the point where it felt like I was going to break it. I'm not even using the middle piece, just the legs. My QN90C stand was/is pure metal and weighty and oozes of quality. Wish they would have included that type of stand. Can't believe they included that cheap stand for such a premium tv.
