Just add water and cheese....
So it's bisquik with garlic salt. Come on people. Step up your game
#LIVINSOITALIAN #CASTLEMUSIC #REALITALIANTREATAs a worker at Olive Garden I get 50% off while at work. Might try one at break.
We have shit food, so expectations are low.
ok but I don't have all the preservatives and chemical flavor enhancers that make those special

Meanwhile Red Lobster done fucked the game up.
I can't believe people think Olive Garden is Italian. Taco Bell is more Mexican than Olive Garden is Italian, if that makes any sense.

Some -- no, a lot of people -- just don't know squat about good food and embrace the "safety" of these cookie cutter chains.Somehow they are fairly popular in St. Louis, even though we are home to a pretty decent sized Italian community and there are small Italian restaurants everywhere, not just the Italian part of town.
So why do people go to Olive Garden instead? It's like when I lived in Florida, you'd see people go to Red Lobster

You'll still see that in many areas known for great seafood.

i've thought of buying this. is it as good as the ones in the restaurant?

I don't think it's strictly cost as much as those 'fast casual' places with a narrow focus (burgers, burritos, etc) are much more appealing at that price level.Pretty sure all of these Chotchkie-style generic family restaurants are going down hill. Who the hell has the resources nowadays to spend $20 on lunch everyday?
I didn't know they were doing so poorly they had to resort to this. The one in my college town is always booming.
this
also their food isn't exactly great. same goes to the massively overrated cheesecake factory
Their issue isn't a lack of variety in their menu, it's that everything on their menu is terrible. There's pretty much no reason to go to Olive Garden unless you're given an gift card.
If you have to eat chain Italian food, try Ccarrabba's. It's actually decent and serve actual Italian food.

Not even then, since you can use the giftcard at any Darden restaurant. I'd go to LongHorn Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze, or Seasons 52 way before I'd set foot in an Olive Garden.Their issue isn't a lack of variety in their menu, it's that everything on their menu is terrible. I used to think the same but came away disappointed last time...then again it was my first and only time ordering a lunch item from there (a panini).

I've had variations of this using bisquick and the are quite good. Maybe not precisely the same, but they capture the idea, which is basically a cheesy herb biscuit. That picture looks nothing like the red lobster biscuits. These "make your own *insert popular restaurant thing here* at home!" recipes are always spectacular failures and this is no exception.
Trust me even if you fuck up your attempt at cheese biscuits they're still AMAZING because they're still buttery balls of cheesy dough. I've never had a bad homemade cheese biscuit.
Sounds like a waste of prosciutto.
