Omega Mart, like an SCP made real

I recently discovered this place and now i'm fully down the rabbit hole it's amazingly weird and creepy at the same time. A supermarket that kind of borders in between another reality filled with products that are bizzare and yet they are all real products you can buy. One of the coolest things i have ever seen, the hidden lore to this place is amazing pure SCP madness.

In the store they have screens everywhere playing ads for various products and promo stuff, they are legit fun to watch.

Anyone for gestating mammal products

The place is in las vegas and man i wish i could go, the store is full of secret passages and backrooms portal style. If you ask one of the staff working they will give you a staff id card that you can scan into the terminals you discover to download the info to watch later on the corporate website. Here's a video of someones trip there, this pushes so many buttons for me i love this kind of reality bending stuff.

This is the official website for omega mart
https://www.omegamart.com/

however digging deeper you can get into the corporate employee section and view all the videos you found on your visit i managed to find someones save so they have a lot of the documents and product testing videos on the dram section, if you click on my dram drive you can see them all

Have fun peeps, i lost hours going through everything. The people that created this also did another place like this that i'll post about another time. The creators are meow wolf and they have a lot of the commercials and other weird stuff on their official youtube account

I'm retarded?
When you said real I assumed you can buy the products which would've been even better but it seems it's just a weird entertainment/creepy thingamajig.

You can buy the products, just not from the store because they would have nothing left if it totally worked like a real supermarket. They have a gift shop where some of the stuff is for purchase.

Wish all the products were on there but it's a start :)

The SCP is the greatest effort in communitarian story-writing and world-building ever. I love reading their wiki.
This looks pretty cool too, but I'm not a fan of the commercial aspect of this.

It's more like a commercial for a weird gift shop.

Yeah but still not the same. A bit of a wasted potential. They should've made their own products and actually make it a weird supermarket tbh. That being said, cool idea.

That exhibit seems a bit lackluster, but watching that willie nelson video amd hanging out a bit with my 21 yo niece and her friends that live only to take pics for IG tells me there is a BRILLIANT untapped market for making a place with physical effects that create weird things for photos (like the telescoping milk effect that blocks the door from closing). You could do a lot with practical effects, forced perspective, selective greenscreen or active displays to create really cool photos the vapid generation can then IG for the lulz. Imagine a place with actors dressed like french and italian waiters and forced perspective backgrounds of Paris and Rome so it looks like you are in a real cafe. Or about to fall off Niagara Falls. Running with the bulls. Stuff like that. Pseudo experiences for the person that look like the real thing for their social media.
