well tuesday night i saw them in milwaukee. last night i saw them in belgium illinois.
the entire belgium show was taped by one of my freinds. came out REALLY nice.
i talked to drew a good twenty minutes both days. such a nice, nice guy. the entire band is, actually. all very humble. i mean, both shows the band members were walking around talking to people while the opening bands were playing. how cool is that.
dredg is the best live band ever. no question.
as far as belgium last night....
i wonder if i'll ever be able to see dredg at so intimate of a show again. couldn't have been more than 60 people or so at the place. the "stage" was a 4 inch elevated square.
Gavin told the fans to come on the stage with him. So basically the entire crowd was on stage with the band, surrounding them. The people like me that were fortunate enough to be in the front part of the stage were literally inches away from the band. People's elbows were literally bumping into Gavin's slide guitars.
It was amazing.
Also of note: When Dredg comes back in August, Drew said they "hope" to headline. they also will be playing 500-1000 person venues.
dino's sticks, gavin's pick, venue poster, gavin's water bottle, setlist....i got it all. best two days ever.
