wow, sequel to 2002 GOTY (Metroid Prime) wasn't nominated, but overall no big surprises...

I really do like the fact that Paper Mario is in the visual arts category, it shows that these awards do have some taste. :D

I'll be covering them this year again, should be fun.

If Katamari Damacy sweeps the awards I will LAUGH. :lol

Too bad for Snake Eater and Echoes, though... they deserved so much more...

Pretty good list. They never seem to pick the same games as AIAS so it should be interesting.

I casted my votes earlier this morning, I tell you though, some of them were tough. Not so much because the nominee's were equal, but because I didn't think any of them deserved the win. I mean Burnout 3 is a great game, and I enjoy playing it.. but 'Best'? I mean really.

Looking forward to see who wins though (and looking forward to using my drink tickets after the ceremony :lol )

Cerriously,

Why is Burnout up there??
EA has very, very deep pockets. Personally, I would put Outrun 2 over Burnout 3 anyday, but that is just me.

I'd like to know what they were thinking with some of these nominees.

How did this make Visual Arts and MP2:E is nowhere to be found?
Because Paper Mario is superior in the visual arts compared to Metroid Prime 2?

Great list. It doesn't fall in line with my views 100%, but its far and away the most respectable and honest list of nominations out there.
