Both good, but One Piece is better in every regard, save for artwork. I mean, OP has been going on 2 decades, and the quality has remained good throughout. I think the Davy Back Fight might have been OP's low point, and that was relatively brief. I started reading OP after the Saboady incident, because half the mangaverse was losing their shit online. I don't think we'll ever see earth-shattering moments like that in OPM, and I'm fine with that.

I read OPM for the art and the laughs. The entire premise of the comic is absurd, but One has somehow made a really fun story out of it. I'm curious to know how much more power creep there will be, as we're already at planet-destroying levels of power, and Saitama hasn't had to get really serious yet. I'm also interested to see more of the Blast, and Metal Knight subplots. The Blast reveal only created more questions for me.

Anyway, both good. One Piece is trying to tell a really long and detailed story that spans centuries, and involves the whole world. Onepunch Man delivers laughs, and gorgeous artwork, but isn't trying to take itself too seriously. OP is much more of a time-investment for anyone trying to get into it now, while OPM is easy to marathon.

One Punch Man appeals to brain dead bozos, the only saving grace is Yusuke Murata's art or the Sakuga from the first series. I respect ONE but Mob Psycho 100 is superior in every way possible.

One Piece I've been catching up on having last read it over a decade ago. I'm on Wano right now and it's good but the series has some real problems and is far from flawless but it has more going on and is way larger in scope. All the big bad fights against Luffy equate to smashing action figures together and it's awful.

One Punch Man is a good gag that ran out of steam and can't be compared to One Piece. But I guess that for some people, just being a thing you only have to watch one Anime series of to get what it is all about makes it far superior to the confusing multi decade epic adventure that is One Piece. But who really cares about One Punch Man right now? You have to at least move onto Chainsaw Man or something.

Both are fantastic series but the story of onepiece is insane it spans decades & Oda is carefully weaving all the story parts together there are hints hundreds of episodes back that he carefully planted it's only when in the future you realise the foreshadowing he planted 10 years previous do you realise just how insane Ods's story is it's amazing he can keep it all coherent & together when there's so many parts to it. The story of one punch doesn't even come close to the greatness of onepiece. You know the story has you when he managed to get me to fucking ugly cry over them losing merry A FUCKING SHIP!!

however if luffy & saitama ever were in the same universe saitama would totally destroy luffy with ease not even haki would be able to save him.

if we are talking animation style then onepunch totally beats it hands down even the onepiece cinematic movies don't touch the insane levels of animation quality in series 1 of onepunch.

Personally i'm just happy both series exist, i'm hoping onepunch gets more series as i enjoy it a lot, as for onepiece i just hope Oda doesn't keel over as he's been churning out the manga every week for so long i'm amazed he hasn't burnt out yet let alone the dangers of the pandemic & the aging VA in the anime.

Prior to 2018? Yeah easily. Since Katakuri vs Luffy and onward? Every episode is literally Sakuga Piece.

Every fight looks like something Yutapon would do.

One Punch Man ... so good it got me reading manga for the first time. Then I started reading Demon Slayer to fill the time until OPM releases. Now I'm watching DS brought to life in anime form and basically what I'm saying is I think I need help.

I don't think both should be compared, since One Piece should be followed for the character plots, while One Punch Man is interesting for its randomness and of course Murata's art.
But in the end I could only keep my interest in OP for a few chapters, while I'm still not tired of OPM (granted, one has been running much longer than the other)

I’ve been a One Piece Manga reader since the Alabaster arc. I was so engaged and need to know more since I caught up to the shows.

That was also the height of the big 3 in manga(Naruto, Bleach and One Piece) I started primarily reading the Manga of all 3 series.

One Piece is incredible that it’s still kept me engaged and still feel fresh on new manga releases.

I like One Punch Man. One Piece is a little too...I don't know...kiddy? I really didn't like the characters and it reminded me of the throwaway saturday morning cartoons from the early 90s. I have only seen the animus.

Voted OPM cuz thats my jam.
I was in a OnePiece Thread with a member lamenting about how great it is. I don't doubt it at all.
Watched the first 10 or so episodes and definitely could see the younger me getting into it. It has heart & charm.
I just don't have the time/interest for 900 episodes, no matter how good.

I'm also the type of person who won't watch more than 2 - 3 seasons of any show. Most shows run their course by that time.

I can't speak to the comic, but the One Punch Man anime bored me to tears. All it has going for it is bursts of sakuga. The entire show is literally one joke. It's fine as a 4 panel comic but a full-length television series is a mistake. The one joke of "Strong man breaks shounen tropes" does not carry it.

One Piece's quality is inconsistent, especially in recent years, but when it's good it's spectacular. It's shocking how much better Whole Cake Island is over the past... 3 arcs preceding it? I'm looking forward to reading Wano when it's done (Since Dressrosa ended, I do One Piece in arc binges).

one piece is unwatchable

Even one punch man takes the piss out of it.

So one punch man. Season 2 however was kinda shit.

But then it wouldn't have been Gintama :)
One Piece is basically a gag manga and manages to do it and it's why it stays popular for decades. One Punch man stays running because of the arcs and side fights.
Gintama did have arcs but they were repetitive. it had good fights but were rare and doesn't build up nerd speculation like other shows do.
It had the best gags but mostly adults get them. a lot flies by most teens and kids who need other stuff to keep them interested.

I think that’s the problem - people are judging it on the anime. I watch OnePace to skip all the timewasting and flashbacks.

Didn't even know that existed. But yea, 1000 episodes in and we still don't know what the one piece is. At this point i doubt anybody still cares. I quited around episode 900 and will wait until somebody prunes it down to 100-200 episodes when the series is complete. As i can't be bothered to watch a single fight that covers over a year. It's unwatchable the normal anime.

This is like comparing Lord of the Rings to the Hunger Games

Its not even close. One Piece is the biggest and best selling manga of all time. An incredible story still ongoing for 20 years that has only gotten better. It does intentional world building and character on a level that no other manga comes close or likely ever will

One Punch Man was an entertaining flash in the pan that fizzled out before its second season even started

I like both, I guess overall I'm more invested in One Piece because I've been following it for a long time, but in recent years I've enjoyed One Punch Man more.

Haven't been a fan of the recent One Piece Arcs and even after 1000 chapters I've never really gotten into the art style. The panels are always extremely busy and at times hard to read, and at this point the cast is so big that the story feels like it moves at snails pace. There's so much stuff going on in parallel that every chapters jump around between like 6 perspectives, slowly moving them along.

OPM on the other hand has god tier art and some of the most dynamically drawn fights in manga. The overall story isn't as engaging but the cast of characters is fun and the humor is better.

These two are such different series. For the manga I like the action and artwork of one punch man but I also like the world, art, characters, and story of one piece. The second season of one punch nearly turned me off to the series because of the art/animation change to the show but one piece has changed it style many times over the seasons to the point I don't care anymore about the changes. I will say that I'm not a fan of the current style of most of the one piece characters. One punch is the the series I'd use to introduce someone new to manga and anime and one piece is the series I'd introduce after they have watched/read all of the new stuff.

One piece is much better
One punch man is boring show with bad story
Season 1 become so famous cuz the animation was good
The show got exposed in Season 2
People didn't care about it cuz the animation was crap

Oda doesn't put in a Berserk level of pencil detail into pages, but he has pulled off some god tier level page flow in his action scenes and big moments. The anime doesn't do it justice.

One Piece is shockingly watchable despite the fact that it just never ends. I think I've burned through about 80 episodes in the last couple of weeks. Some of the most well-rounded characters in Shonen anime.

One Punch Man, I burnt out on within a couple of episodes just because of the "okay, okay, I get the joke" nature of its premise.

One Piece lost it MAAAAAAAAAAANY years ago. It's just pathetic now, and I can't tolerate certain tropes anymore. Also the art has become often unreadable and panel management is awful.

One Punch man is awesome, but I hate that you basically never see Saitama in Saitama's comic.

I like the original One Punch Man the best. You know, the scribble ones.

Murata's re-make... I know One is supervising it all, but it kinda lost its charm. Battles drag on too long, and story moves too slow... and some story choices, I don't find as appealing as the original.

Let's say, Garou. In remake, he's good guy thru and thru. Originally, he's really borderline bad guy. Much more fearsome.

What's even sad, is the whole story isn't even like halfway point of what One wrote in the original.

I really enjoyed one punch man and have had several rewatches

I wanted to check out One Piece but once I Learned how big it was it found it overwhelming and never really started

ShirAhava

Plays with kids toys, in the adult gaming world
OPM

The quality bar was lowered when it came to anime after the 90s and we have
the success of One Piece to thank for that and this modern mediocre shonen era
