Online Retail Shops to avoid buying Gaming Supplies from

Gamer79

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
Feel free to add to the list but I believe it would be good to have a list put together by the board of trust worthy online vendors and websites to buy/sell videogame Supplies from. Share any Bad experiences so the rest of us can learn.

MY TRUSTWORTHY Sites:

*Amazon: Great customer service and reliable
*Ebay: Great for buyers because their customer service is top notch but not great for sellers because buyers can easily make bullshit claims and win
*cd keys: Have used them for years for windows keys or just plain cheap game key codes.
*Instant Gaming: Online vendor that has great customer service and I have never had a problem.

My Untrustworthy Sites:

AliExpress: Their buyer protection don't mean shit. I just bought a 27inch monitor a month ago and the seller provided tracking of an envelope and they sided with the buyer. I am still fighting paypal to get my money back. Horrible customer service, even close to 5 star rated sellers are scammers on this site. Avoid at all cost!

Facebook Marketplace online: Again their customer service is horrendous and allows scammers to thrive on the platform. I and others have had bad experiences on there. Avoid and shop at your own risk. I bought a 4070 Ti used for $500 and the seller used a similiar scam to ali express. They provide a random tracking number that goes to my town and state but no direct address but it fools their systems enough that it counts as "proof" of delivery. I got my money back after a month of headaches.

New Egg: I have been sent used parts a "new" and my wife had a terrible customer service experience with them from sending a broken christmas gift.

Have been Prime membership for over 10 years, Amazon almost never failed me. Even if there were issues, their customer service is the best.

The only downside is that they don't do price match.

They have a shit customer service.

I bought an LCD Corsair for my AIO. the next day it was 15% cheaper. I still didn't get my item. it was on my way. I talked to customer service about price matching. so I don't have to send the product again and wait a couple of weeks to pay me back etc.

nope, we can't do that. not even for their own item.

So I bought three, opened, used them, and returned all but one, which I found the best without dead pixels, etc.

you wanna be stupid, I can show you stupid. enjoy 2 opened returned products. dumb fucks.

Really just avoid shops from China. Scamazon, ebay, newegg, walmart, target all have those shady 3rd party sellers. You just have to be careful.
I bought an 32" 165hz Acer monitor from their Ebay store. Got it for a good price, much lower than any monitor at Best Buy.
I tried to buy a Ryzen 5700x for $130 on Amazon, once i saw it hasnt shipped i noticed the seller wasnt amazon, it was some random shop from China. Got my money back but it took a while.
I buy a lot of crap from Aliexpress, but only because i dont want to pay twice as much to get it on Amazon. Got all my console flashcarts on there and they work fine. But i wouldnt buy pc parts.

Sorry for your experience but in their defense, they could only make the adjustment once the item is delivered and the order is completed.

I had the exactly same situation when I bought the new Kindle in late October and it went on sale during Black Friday. Contacted them, and they refunded me the $45 price difference without any problem.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Play-Asia can be pretty bad at times - there's times where something's been listed as "in-stock", but as soon as I place an order, they update it to be shipping in 1-3 weeks. I've had it take well over a month for stuff to show up from them, which is just ridiculous. They're also more than happy to attach scalper prices to anything they have in stock that happens to go up in price at some point.

They dont do that with me. I am not sure why. last year also with the 8bitdo wireless xbox controller with the hall affect. after few days of me getting it, it was 15$ cheaper. refund the difference? nope. return it and buy it again.

Monkeys run their customer service sometimes.

so be it really. I am not losing anything. they are.

Writes a lot, says very little
^^New egg been good for me.

Bestbuy has sent me used products.
Gamestop sells games as new with shrink wrap.
I’ve used New Egg for almost 20 years with no problems
Same, I still buy from them (about to buy a new gaming chair from them) also used them along with TigerDirect for years for PC parts

Take of your backs older gamers!

Like...4 of my builds had lots of parts bought from NewEgg and I've never had an issue with them, that isn't to say OP is lying or something, simply that isn't what a few of us have experienced with them after using them for decades.

same. edit, they need to run back that fucking wild ass 20% discount they used to have for new games lol

I milked that bitch TO DEATH! It actually worked for pre-orders and I had games that literally went into years that was still getting that discount long after they stopped doing it lol

Play-Asia can be pretty bad at times

I never really knew this, I use them a few times a generation, but mainly for really obscure Japanese titles to work on my kanji reading and listen skills
