Sometimes when i watch ungodly acts like Arial Piper videos it so happens that, when i sleep at night, i am awoken by a creature with porcelain skin, walking on four thin legs and carrying a head with three faces. The Face of Joy, the Face of Judgement and the Face of Terror.

Whenever it happens it uses the Face of Judgement to ask me questions about my believes. Depending on my answer its face changes then either to the Face of Joy or the Face of Terror, telling me that "my countdown" has gone up/down, not sure what that means tho, after all of this happened all three faces together start crying a weird gas that puts me back to sleep.

I thought this happened to everyone?

Obviously the key difference is that there are good reasons to view supernaturalism as bunk, while trivializing trans people's identities is a jerk move, and there's no credible scientific basis to be skeptical there.

Making fun of nonsense that some people don't realize is nonsense is actually not the same thing as making fun of valid gender identities that are poorly understood by many.

Basically, you can extend the non sense logic to any other non science topic and half the OT topics would go extent. It has more to do with willingly invoking the presence of spirits. Since God doesn't communicate via Ouija board, the only spirits you would be communicating with are evil ones. I don't think it really matters what company makes the board

OP, you have a history of night terrors. You just happened to have one after watching some serious youtube videos and your mind is forming a connection because others around you have told you this is possible, not because it is inherently true.

I subscribe to Occam's razor for all unexplained situations, which renders them all quite explainable. Thus, I don't believe in any supernatural forces.

Pretty much all of them were made up in order to make you fear some higher being and stay in line. Classic scare tactics.

Certain false beliefs must be confronted and corrected.

It is morally right to do so.

I didn't mention the KKK specifically. But since you brought them up, I think it is instructive to point out they are a religious group.

There are different levels of severity of false belief. But all hinge on uncritical acceptance, the fallacy of positive instances, confirmation bias, and overcredulous believers.

If you open the door to a way of life founded on credulity, you will find yourself susceptible to ideas which depend on little more than the willingness to believe.

Does anyone believe in "opening doors" to malicious entities by watching horror movies, listening to tainted music and looking into the "obscure"?, i was raised a Christian (Baptist) and i do believe in "opening doors" hence why i try and not watch too many horror movies or possesion related stuff. I have had sleep paralysis episodes before but...

Well yesterday was a bit different, i was watching videos on YT late at night about unsolved murders, and recordings before people died and just that type of thing. Nothing to macabre or nothing. I went to bed and it was 3 am, i fell asleep and woke up unable to move or speak... i mumbled something and fell asleep again... then i woke up again and the same thing happened fell back asleep, then the third time i was asleep laying on my side and i start feeling somebody grabbing my legs... i feel their hands squeeze my legs and knees as they're bent, i move my legs and try to shoo them away but they just kept trying to grab me. I raise from my waist up to try and make them go away and i see a black figure standing there trying to grab me, so i fell back on my bed and started praying to God. I was finally able to go to sleep, now i will think twice before looking up anything remotely sinister.

Any personal anecdotes or thoughts?, i know that GAF seems to me mainly skeptic but still... i am interested in listening to your two cents.

OK, forget all the spiritual bullshit for a second. You feel hands grabbing your legs up to your knees and a dark figure by your legs and during this episode you close your eyes, pray and to to sleep.... Are you out of your damn mind? I don't care how out of my mind I am, I'm jumping up and turning the light on so I can access the situation. I'm not letting a ghost, demon, or home intruder have free reign in my home because I'd rather close my eyes and pretend nothing is happening.

If you were to just relax when an something like this happens, you'd see that the fear was psychosomatic and there was nothing to be afraid of; hence why repeating a prayer (or mantra) helps you.

If you learnt how to relax without prayer, you could achieve the same results.

I agree that GAF is harsh or at times has commentary that veers into an assholish quality when Religion or Spiritualism is involved. My view is it all depends on the subject at hand and the OP's presented information.

Here we have an OP that has fears about the occult because of his upbringing, was watching horror movies that he was told would bring occult things into this world, knows about sleep paralysis, and even admitted he has had sleep paralysis episodes in the past.

At that point, it's like "Come on OP".

If someone I generally respect as a great poster on here says that they had an encounter with something that defies current established views of the world based on science and can't explain it, I'm not going to start just making fun of the OP. I can't say whether what they experienced actually happened, the validity on what they encountered exists or doesn't exist, or if this was the product of our complex brain.
