Origin $20 off coupon [Expired - EA states they're honoring games]

Has anyone gotten it to work on Sims 3 stuff today? I saw some earlier posts from when the deal was first posted, but it won't work for me.

I got the premium towns Barnacle bay and Hidden Springs and all the stuff packs but Diesel and Katy Perry. This was when the deal was first posted, so maybe they changed the eligibility of Sims 3.

The coupon will knock $20 off Sims 3 expansions but it won't make them free because they exceed $20. I think the standard Sims 3 is $20, not sure though.

:lol

It's still working for me. I'm getting:
Code:
Thank you for your order. Your order is being processed and you will be notified of the result shortly.

First you clear the cookies of origin and ea.
Second you go to http://store.origin.com/?ipr=ty
Third you pick a game under 19.99$ and add it to your basket. (Must be an EA game and for PC Digital)
You apply the code and see that the cost is 0.00$ http://snag.gy/a2Ren.jpg[/IM G]
Proceed with checkout, and login when it asks you to login.[/QUOTE]
I feel dirty.

What a fuck up by EA.

This is history in the making, easily. I've never seen an exploit like this go on for so long, last night everyone was expecting the shit to hit the fan and for there to be consequences, now the hole is so fucking deep what could EA even do?

This feels like one of the strangest things to happen in gaming in the 21st century, hours and hours of people doing something as simple as copy pasting a code and then going to a new browser to continue, getting games with almost no effort or malicious skills. This is up there with the console failures as far as incompetency goes, EA has a huge problem up ahead.

This is supposed to be an American only (anti consumer and dumb move btw) and other people are helping each other get more games, I find that to be beautiful quite honestly. I'm glad we all are getting these games and I'm grateful as fuck I got mine but this is damn weird.

Haha totally agreed.

This is fucking ridiculous. Thousands and thousands of $ worth of games. Lost sales? Probably not. It's still a complete mess up though.

Pretty crazy. Next few days should be interesting.

I can imagine the EA execs going into the office on monday morning.

"He Steve, how were our downloads and purchases over the weekend?"
"Great! I don't know what happened"
"Brilliant news Steve! How much did we make?"
"Oh.. err.. $0"

Eh, it's all oldish games tho; EA probably doesn't give that much of a shit.

Incognito/cookie deleting works for me, I pick the game and the code applies, the subtotal goes to $0.0, but when I log in on the checkout it keeps asking me for a CC. :(

While that's true people are still walking away with hundreds of dollars of games, not lost sales, but there has to be repercussions on EA's side. Hundreds or thousands of cd keys/serials given away like air.

How is EA going to explain this to shareholders or investors? Keep in mind I'm glad everyone got out with as much swag as they want, but this ignoring attitude EA has is fascinating to say the least.

Their shareholders won't care because this is incredibly insignificant.

Lol just got DAII because I forgot about it last night. Got my first round of games about 12 hours ago now.

But my first try I got this error message:

. said:
We’re sorry, but the offer that was previously applied to Dragon Age™ II - Online Pass, Dragon Age™ II is no longer available. Please check your cart before completing your purchase.

Not to be deterred I simply refreshed the page and submitted again....and it worked. Unbelievable.
