Every thread about movies, someone, somewhere will be buttburt about inception and have to make it known.

You just don't get it. Why were they helping Cobb? Why? I want to know why Eames was in Africa. How did he get there? Why did he agree to help Cobb? Why is Arthur helping Cobb? Does he see him as his older brother? Is he lost? Does he have a GF? Why doesn't he say NO to Cobb? Why is Mal haunting Cobb? Why does Saito want to break up the empire? Why does he care? Who is his mistress? WHAT THE FUCK DOES HE SAY ABOUT THE CARPET?

Until these questions are answered I simply can't invest myself emotionally to these characters. I feel cheated. They are all the same which is to say they are nothing. In fact I bet if they were voiced by the same actor they would all sound the same cause they don't say anything different.

I’ve said it before, but it needs to be said again. How the hell did Tangled not get nominated for best animated feature? It’s borderline offensive!

Because its the 4th best reviewed as well as 4th domestically grossing Animated film of the year.

Not that hard to understand.

Every freaking movie thread turns into an Inception debate.

One of the main reasons ive stopped replying to most movie threads. GAF has made me hate the very mention of Inception or Nolan. Every single time the same shit again and again by the same people.

That Solo is a masterful troll, though.

It's not that so much as: a certain number of animated films have to be submitted for there to be 5 nominees. They were short of that number, so there are only 3 nominees.

These aren't serious questions, are they? The bolded especially.

Eh.....I don't really understand why people whine about a film not being nominated....when that film had no shot in hell of winning anyways :p

Still have 5 more BP movies to see (Fighter, The Kids are All Right, The Kings Speech, True Grit, and Winter's Bone).

Of the ones I've seen, here's how I'd rank them:

1. 127 Hours
2. Toy Story 3
3. The Social Network
4. Inception
5. Black Swan

I think Toy Story 3 is so underrated though.

Not that it will but I'm still rooting for Toy Story 3 to win Best Picture.

Sadly it won't happen, but if it were to happen I think it may help the animation industry become a bit more respected.

My sarcasm meter probably needs to be recharged but are you serious?

Just saw "The King's Speech". Holy fricken crap that movie was AMAZING! Just everything about it was brilliant. The sublime acting, the score, the emotional appeal, the beginning, the middle, the end, the EVERYTHING! I loved it so much. It was hilarious. It was serious. It was inspiring. It was forceful. It was just so good!

EDIT: It was a TAD formulaic and predictable but I still loved it :)

What little faith I had in IMDb's users was lost when I took the Oscar poll and saw that 40% of people that voted thought that Inception should win Best Picture.

I know, right? Should have been a definitive majority of 51% or higher.

It should but it won't.

As a screenwriter I love watching the Oscars, I find it very inspirational. I tell myself that if I work really hard then one day I could be watching them from a more expensive couch.
