I have yet to play it. But it looks like an extremely well made game. It has absolutely phenomenal art design and looks very polished. As someone uninterested in competitive shooters though, it was never topping my own personal list.

It's cool that a multiplayer only game won Goty. Real ground breaking stuff. I hope more multiplayer games or games with little to no narrative can be considered as 'real' games from here on out when it comes to these kind discussions.

I had so many friends who rarely play MP games love this game and a lot of girls I know that don't touch competitive shooters have been playing Overwatch. Blizzard was really successful in making possibly the first major accessible multiplayer shooter for all. TF2 kind of started the movement.

Perhaps people feel differently than you about Overwatch? Just look at 90% of the responses in this thread. It's not often that NeoGAF is so unified over a game.

I mean the person was right, mp shooters almost never get GOTY awards from outlets which is why I'm happy Overwatch won (it being my personal GOTY helped)

Not like he is a wrong the skill cap on Overwatch is incredibly low. That is why it wining best Esport is just so wrong Overwatch pro's are the guys that didn't have enough skill to make it big in CS GO.
