Overwatch: Year of the Rooster Event is live (Jan 24th - Feb 13), has CTF Brawl

Everytime there is a new brawl I play 10 matches without a single victory. I just want that one box so I can fuck out of there for eternity. I wish the enemy team would just stay put and let me win once and then go tryhard after that.

What are people's takes on making this new Mei skin thinner because she wears thinner clothing?

I definitely see it, don't know if it's intentional, but her thighs/arms/face still being thick/chubby/fat/whatever you want to call it, when her body is basically totally slim, looks super weird, and her spine is definitely bent out of shape. I don't think the "thick coat" argument holds up in that context.

Blizzard could simply clear this up by releasing skins of everyone in their underwear.

Also all the DVA nerf salt is delicous, I'm sorry your brain dead character got nerfed but she was fucking up the enjoyability of the game and the flow of matches. Ana could use a slap too again

Looks like the DVa nerf isn't a problem. All it's doing is forcing the player to play a little more intelligently. It was much-needed and seems fair so far.

She still wrecks every character that hasn't always countered her.

I was shocked that I could grab the flag and use my full abilities. I just assumed I would have to make a straight run back and rely on teammates to protect me.

despite what kaplan says in the video, yes that would make this version of CTF much better i think, and encourage more teamwork.

Give me swimsuits for every character this summer! Give me Roadhog in a thong!

Yup. Even as a new player, I noticed a massive difference when I picked D.va compared to any other character. I could stay in a firefight for long periods of time while getting hit, I could make stupid decisions and get away with it, and I had incredible mobility to boot. Now I'm curious to go back and see how this new D.va feels, and I sincerely hope to see her a bit less on the ladder.

Really, the game just needs a lot more tank and support heroes. "Defense" and "Offense" heroes are basically in the same category in terms of team composition (2x Tank, 2x Support, 2x Other), and there's a TON of variation there. There has to be effort to increase tank and support options, because choosing from the same 4 or 5 gets old.

'Dva's OP but Lucio, Reinhardt and Ana are perfectly fine and its ok they're in every single game'

- Everyone
I legitimately don't see a problem with Lucio except that he has a unique ability. Giving other new heroes the ability to speed up teammates will see his play frequency fall.

Reinhardt likely needs a nerf of some kind just because his shield is so meta-defining.

Bought 24 boxes, got Tracer, Ana, both of Mei's and Mercy, plus I bought Zen's. Gonna have another 3000 soon but not sure who to spends those on. I like D.Va's a lot but I'm probably not gonna play her anymore thanks to the nerf.

These are the best skins they've done yet! Wow I'm impressed. That Rein skin is probably the best skin in the game. Only ones I don't want are Junkrat and Symmetra.

Also Soldier, since Dva being out the way (and a 1v1 in his favour when she is present) means he can instagib whole teams with Q+Nanoboost the moment Rein's shield breaks.

Did everyone forget what happened during summer?

We've known she is skinny for awhile. There was a huge thing about it last year.

Tried using that once. Everyone "corrected" me by saying that it was concept art and clearly not the final version as seen on the game itself.

But the concept art of her in her coat is almost the same as the damn final. People just want to believe what they want to believe sadly

I'm not feeling any of the skins, so I don't think I'll buy any boxes. I do have a surplus of coins, so if I really want a skin, I can just buy it. I did buy Roadhog's new highlight intro though, since it reminds me of myself after giant meals.

I won't really have time for the new modes until next week. Capture the flag Rooster does look fun, so I'd like to play it when I have the time.

Everyone complained about Ana so they just nerfed her.

Ana's Biotic Grenade no longer prevents enemy healing
Ana's Biotic grenade no longer amplifies friendly healing done

Then you'd have nerfs equivalent to the Dva ones. Dva is now worse than she was at launch.

I think the "problem" is that people were so happy to see a fat character that seeing this is a blatant insult to them. One even wrote an article thanking Blizzard for their diversity in allowing fat people to be in the game.

Problem was that Mei isn't really....fat though.

Yeah gamers have said that the Summer Games Mei spray was clearly from a different artist who didn't have a correct idea of Mei's true appearance.

Bathing suits don't exist?
Too much waifu!

It extra hilarious because if you pay actual attention to detail on her default outfit you can still make out her true shape under the coat where the straps are all clinging to

Wonder how they felt about Roadhog.

So people have been calling the spray non-canon now? Well that's odd.
But with this new skin update, it's clearly a lot more canon now.

People finally learning the difference between fat and thicc, thanks Blizzard :3

Also thanks Blizzard for Overwatch cosplayers. Our local con had a Mei, Female Reaper, and D.Va who were all awesome and let me take selfies with them.

If there was a Zarya cosplayer present I would've proposed...

Played 3 rounds of CTF and it was all right, nothing to get so upset about.

I almost let it go, because my first match was nothing but defense heroes/campers on either side who didn't want to move and once someone tried to get a flag you got bastion'ed, turreted, trapped, and symmetra turreted into oblivion. Second match went a lot better with teams swaying back and forth. I was Lucio and we ended up scoring the winning goal with me speedboosting/ulting the genji who stole the flag. Since we were both super mobile vertically they couldn't catch us.

For others though, if you experienced what I experienced the first game more than once I can definitely see people hating CTF.

Lucio is useful, not overpowered.

Ana just got nerfed because her Ult ways overpowered the tanks.

Reinhardt is a hard goddamn nut to crack, because the shield and his Ult are all he has. Hell, you can shred the shield pretty quickly with an offensive team.

Fucking SJW's robbing me of my sexy McCree speedo skin. /s

Huh? I'm not saying anything about SJW's

But answer honestly, how do you think the internet would react to a summer swimsuit event? It would be controversial in a major game like this as hell that's all I'm saying

Not if they showered equal costuming on the dudes and ladies.

Hey I'd be down with that I think it could be a really fun event if done correctly.

I still think too many people would complain for Blizzard to actually do it but it would be cool. They could change some of the characters weapons to look like water guns and have stuff like them wearing floatation devices and Beach Balls and stuff
