I'm pretty LTTP but I really, really wanted to make a thread about this because honestly I don't feel this game gets the attention it deserves. Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions is a 3DS game that includes six games, three of them Pac-man and the other three Galaga. When this game was announced I had passed it off as just a compilation of Pac-Man and Galaga games. When I picked this up dirt cheap at my store, I was honestly surprised it contained a new, short game called Pac-Man Tilt.
As someone who grew up on Pac-Man World I was shocked to see Namco made a 2D Platformer that not only mixed the trademark maze gameplay and look, but made it work.
The game revolves around you trying to get to the end of the level but solving puzzles and obstacles by tilting your 3DS. It also used the face buttons for obstacles that including traditional platforming. You could still eat ghosts by finding power pellets throughout the levels, usually they including two or three depending on how many ghosts were in the level.
Some levels even looked really good without trying to look like the classic maze style Pac-Man has. Although the game is very short, you can't play the game in 3D and honestly it feels kind of like a glorified tech demo. However, what a glorified tech demo it is. I was really satisfied that I got this game for what I did, because if I didn't I never would have even known about this great game within it. Namco should honestly expand upon this. I would love to see a full retail sequel to this on Wii U or 3DS. Anyone else here on GAF try this game? What's your opinion on it? If you haven't, try and find this game cheap if you can because it's worth it for Pac-Man Tilt alone.
