w00f, getting some crazy studdering in Lone Echo. I updated to the lastest release of Revive before I booted it up. Haven't had the time to investigate yet but it seems fixable.
searched around, and tried it out... in advanced settings you just enable always on repro, and disable the other two options
smooth as a cats fur now
really excited to play, it was cool. I g
Just get it setup and spend awhile marvelling at how weird it feels to be in VR. Start slow with some videos, E. G. Henry, then build up to it.My rift finally arrives tomorrow, any advice for first things to do?
I'm very excited!
You just missed the big summer sale with good discounts, so there most probably won't be another sale for weeks if not months. Maybe something on black Friday, or Halloween.Edit: Games are very pricey though, anyone know how often Oculus stores have sales and by how much?

It seems mostly fine. It was unplayable before....and you don't get queezy??

Although it would be really cool if oculus made an "encore" flash sale repeating all the deals from the summer sale and combine it with the moment that the 399$ sale ends. Just a dream.
Doom 3 BFG Edition has Vulkan support now:

Maybe interesting for people who want to play the BFG-VR or the Fully Possessed VR Mod for Doom 3 BFG.
Also get these tools:
Oculus traytool (lets you turn the rift off if you like to leave it connected, control default audio + mic and set supersampling options per game)
Guardian Boundary Editor (Lets you manually tweak the guardian boundary without having to go through the setup again. Also lets you save multiple boundary profiles that you can load to replace the existing one at any time).

Unknown Fate Gamescom 2017 trailer
Says it on the store page:I posted that with gifs like 3 posts up dude
This could be cool. Did they say somewhere it would have VR support or was it in the trailer and I missed it?
hi,
I'm MarsLit Games main (and only xD) dev.
The VR version of the game won't be just the base game played with a VR headset but a "separate" version purposely thought to be played with VR![]()
Yes Unknown Fate will last A LOT more than 30mins, it will last around 4hours of gameplay (probably more if you are playing it for the first time).
Says it on the store page:

EDIT:
From the developer (working on this alone) on steam forum:
Cloudgine, the company responsible for developing Crackdown 3's cloud based physics tech is making a new VR game using it called They Came From Space. It's a multiplayer game where you control a giant alien ship in a race against another VR player to destroy the city. It supports up to 10 players where the rest are made up of players outside VR controlling your wingmen ships. VRFocus.com has some more on it.

I hope they do a second quest for the sci-fi shooter minigame too.

Oculus arrived, set up was easy and most games worked, the two art apps (quill and medium) crash at launch though, but haven't looked up any troubleshooting yet
Also found out it won't work with steamVR yet as both video outputs need to be from the same GPU so I ordered a dvi to hdmi adapter
Toybox was a awesome first experience and felt totally natural
Bigscreen is super cool but made me wish it was clearer
Robo recall is great but tough to wrap my head around the teleporting (and fuck that jump moment at the start)
Looking forward to more for sure![]()
"Audioshield, when modified with the proper settings, has a higher calorie burn per minute than an elliptical treadmill or a rowing machine," Stanton said. "And games like Knockout League for boxing actually have a metabolic score that's very, very equivalent to real world sparring."
Any of you play Soulkeeper yet? I'm dying to hear some impressions. I'd be running it on a 980ti fwiw
And does the Steam refund ever run out? I just refunded Vanishing Realms despite it being super fun, it was 100% unplayable without full 360 degrees. Now I'm thinking I may have to refund Rez Infinite but I'll give it another chance.
So I already feel like a dick and I'm wondering if Steam will start thinking I'm scamming them if I were to buy Soulkeeper and refund it if it's too buggy.
Theres also a tournament. the players pay to join the the tournament, and the pooled money goes to both the developers and the tournament winners.
Other complaints are no spatial sound (2D sound), movement system isn't vive friendly right now (pushing touchpad to walk I think)
Just tried the Fully Possessed VR mod for DOOM 3, and damn is it intense. The modders did a great job modifying it for VR, you really get drawn in to the world. Which in my case means constant heart attacks whenever an enemy shows up. Not sure I'll be able to finish the game but it's really neat.
The world scaling is a bit off though, like most of the objectives seem way bigger than they should be (soda cans, datapads, doorways etc.).
Did you play on the Rift or Vive?

I appreciate the response homie!I think the general feedback on it right now is that the content in the game doesn't justify the price. Its getting a few bad reviews from people who believe early access = demo with free dlc later on. It has a lot of bugs right now so its worth waiting for a few updates before getting it since its still early in its development. They seem to be aiming for atleast 8-10 hours of content for its final release.
Other complaints are no spatial sound (2D sound), movement system isn't vive friendly right now (pushing touchpad to walk I think), performance/optimisation issues but everyone who has it says the graphics are amazing.
I will get it at later date I think after its got the current problems fixed and have more content.
I didn't know there was a VR mod for Doom 3... I gotta check that out!!
Are there any other respectable mods for recent/somewhat recent respectable AAA games?? I heard about Alien, which I need to try, but that's it.
EDIT: Shit, I was thinking Doom 2016
I appreciate the response homie!
