People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

How come none of the big review sites added points to PS4 games for this feature?

Even if a game is equal on PS4 & Xbox One as far as gameplay & graphics, how could the reviewers not see this as a bonus? Being able to live stream your gameplay with a video overlay & chat with people over the internet seem like it will be a reason to pick the PS4 game over the Xbox One game.

Watching that ghetto gamer show or whatever it was called & seeing how people was just waiting in the chatroom for him & when he came back & started the game you can tell that it was a big sense of enjoyment being able to show off while hundreds of people are watching you. That seemed a lot better than just playing online & only talking to the people you are playing against.

Last Gen people made a big deal about cross game chat but this seem like a way bigger deal than cross game chat.

Poor Gamecube. I agree with him, though. Fuck that thing. Worst $150 I ever spent until Kinect came along.

Took a turn for the worse with the anti-gay stuff. Even if that chatter was just out to trip him up, not cool.

The world of PS4 chat shows moves fast.

Can games be switched mid live stream? Like could I switch from playroom to resogun and back to playroom without the broadcast stopping?

XBone has this support as well, I don't know if it's live or not.

No it doesn't & it was one of the things that people thought was going to be better on Xbox One because Sony didn't announce that Twitch would be integrated into the OS like MS did.

but for now it's the opposite way around with Twitch live streaming being a part of the PS4 share menu & not on the Xbox One yet.

I thought you could. I think when you try to switch games the viewers get that screen with the dancing PS buttons until the next game loads. I haven't seen anyone try this, though.

I feel bad for the people whose channels are getting banned for not doing anything wrong (there has been a several cases). Some of them are just trying out the Playroom, and then you have all these people in the chat throwing out memes ("put a shoe on your head") which makes no sense to streamer.

Most of these streamers (casual gamers) are not aware how Twitch works (e.g. how to ban or mod people) or what its rules are, apparently. Nor do they know that it's pointless to fight against these trolls (they are only there to stall the streamer until he/she gets banned, because he/she is not playing or discussing about any games... clever).

Of course, there are streamers who are crazy to do the most ridiculous stuff if an audience is there (darckobra or people showing off their "brocolli" or shoe collection).

I'd guess the reason why these Playroom streams are getting lot of viewers, is because it's where the casual and hardcore gamers' worlds collide (hence the memes or general trolling).

Yep & what about the people who actually play games & stream them over twitch but also like to go to the play room to talk to people live?

I bet a lot of them got banned without any warning.

Im not 100% sure but i think the stream displays a different screen (the ps icons slowly rolling across the screen) while you're doing what you're doing on the UI.

Someone fired this off at me in regards to something I said elsewhere:

its funny, when we heard kinect was mandatory people started flipping out about having a camera watching them in there living room. When sony lets you choose to have one, people are setting them up and dancing around in front of them half naked for random people on the internet

Someone fired this off at me in regards to something I said elsewhere:

well theres a big difference between something mandatory that no one was really too sure about and didnt see the point of making the price an extra $100

vs

something completely optional that you can choose to buy or not to buy

Some people, but not everyone. The big thing here is choice. Some people are attention whores, some are not. Also some people have absolutely no use for a camera or did not want to shell out money for it. Choice is a big thing. Sony got it right.
