People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

I guess if they are using the virtual robots and stuff, they're technically "playing" Playroom.

It agree that this is definitely not actually gameplay, but it would be hard to close channels for this when you have streamers sitting at a menu and talking for 2 hours straight or people like Frag having cooking segments lol
haha, true enough.

Of course Twitch have to uphold their own rules, but if it's popular enough and brings traffic to the site (not too much at the moment looking at viewership numbers, hovering around 2k to 4k), they're probably ok with bending the rules a bit and letting channels stay up on the site.

On a related note, I don't know how lol is around 100k viewers again, there's not even anything important going on. >_>

I thought justin tv is where they redirect non gaming streams?
Yeah, basically. justin.tv's gaming section got too big so they split it off into its own site and called it twitch.tv.

Definitely a first for me. Just glad he's staying just on this side of the line, because this guy is destined for greatness.

lol it's nice to know that he has the support of the staff, because this Playroom stuff has been hilarious and entertaining

I think they're going to remove the Playroom streams fairly soon due to the lack of actual video game gameplay in many of the streams.

Should relocate to justin/ustream where non-gaming content is allowed.

This stuff is still niche, it isn't really a problem. Keep a close eye with some experienced mods and worry about it if it grows into something or if it spirals out of control. We haven't even had episode 2 of the Spartan Show and you want to kill it? Twitch isn't in it's final form, they are always looking for new stuff and gaming related YouTube stars like Francis could be part of it. Speed running weekly show twitch.tv/TSSBreak does fine as do a variety of other non game play streams. On a number of popular streams the game video is secondary.

Adam Boyes called up one of the earlier "hosts" and did a small interview. Didn't seem too fussed.

Maybe legal and PR will have a different view though. :/

I think as far as Sony is concerned, any virality is good, and it's up to Twitch/Ustream to keep inappropriate content off their services, just like on PC.

i hope sony keeps this in, this could get big. Imagine - cooking shows, dating shows, quiz shows, sex shows - just IMAGINE :O

i wish i had a relationship like this with my brother

we're completely different people

we hardly ever talk to each other

the only thing we have in common is the fact that we share the same parents
