People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

Interesting is fine. I enjoyed the drunk man last night myself actually... but when things turn creepy or dark? egging them on to do silly things? Trash talk the small kids? Yeah, lets not go there :)

I agree... I will also say that there is some responsibility from the parents to look after their children. The console has the tools to protect minors also and is fairly easy to setup.

Sony cannot moderate this but put a lock on it if things go out of hand down the line.

I fully agree. I wonder how Sony is gonna moderate the livefeed implementation on PS4. People are weird on the internet and there are alot of kids playing the PS4, so it doesn't take a genius to see that this will lead to some unwanted things.

True. Everything starts with the parents. Best one I saw was a guy letting his daughter do playroom,but he turned off the comments on screen and was monitoring chat. That's probably the only way I would let a kid on there.
 
The Williams family stream was a very pleasant experience, he immediately started moderating the abusive comments and it went really well.

Both Twitch and users need to work to keep the idiots out of this. I love this feature.

I agree too, but I don't really know if it's GAF specifically that's encouraging it all. Just seems like the norm for the internet, which is quite frankly a bit disturbing when people are anonymous.
Then when you have kids or ladies on, it gets a whole lot weirder with the comments.

oh it's not just GAF but I know for a fact that a large number of viewers ARE from GAF (when a new link appears, watch the viewers spike).

We know that Twitch don't act fast enough. I can also tell you that Sony could moderate things harsher on their end (or at least implement something extra) but we don't want this... trust me.

All I ask for is that as a GAF community, we do something about it when things start to go wrong :) it may not weed out the trolls but we shouldn't take part.

I'm sorry, but at this rate I would completely understand if streaming of Playroom will not be possible in the future. Why are people so goddamn moronic? This could have been an amazing opportunity to have lots of new shows, fun and stuff outside of youtube/PC, and some idiots fuck it up for everyone.

Ha ha!! What did anyone expect? What always happens when you give people a camera and connect it to the internet?

I think it's down to Twitch to moderate it better. Sony should definitely not scrap it.

My bet is any game that uses AR won't be allowed to stream the full screen view. At minimum I could see them blacking out everything but the AR entities (to the stream; at home you'd see yourself).

why would they block it? Sony isn't Nintendo. You can do the exact same thing on ANY laptop

Sony will listen to popular sentiment I think and I think that it will get worse, and popular sentiment will be against assholes fucking up the experience.

Yeah it's a good thing we had that Spartan show which was a high profile example of something wholesome actually existing on here.
 
Out of curiosity, does the Xbox One allow full screen streaming right out of your living room, or is it confined to games only? Is there a 'trick' similar to Playroom?

Edit: My god, I didn't even think about Japan yet. Now THAT will be interesting.

It doesn't do streaming at all. The feature's pushed into 2014.
